Howard Amon Park, situated on the Columbia River in Richland, Washington, offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors. The park features tree-lined walking paths, tennis courts, and a playground for children of all ages. Additionally, it provides access to the river for fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming.
Nice park. Pretty clean and well taken care of. Plenty of big trees, a splash pad for children, a playground, water access for swimming, kayaking and even boating, jet-skiing, etc. Access to various cruise ships and other water vessels and the like from several docks. Nice walking/bike paths. Benches and bench-swings, plus a concession stand and Hawaiian Ice. A few suspicious, possibly homeless, possibly substance abuse type people but they didn’t bother us. Overall we had a pleasant time this day and when we visited before. Would go back again.

We love this very expansive waterfront park. Our GSP gets to see the squirrels, birds, and geese, while we get a leisurely walk in the plush grass or sidewalk. Bicyclists are usually very friendly and stay to one side as do joggers. With plenty of up close parking, it's perfect for even a quick outing for the dog...

Beautiful park. I've been going to this beautiful park for decades! I know there are probably lots of people upset about them recently removing the swimming dock, but I think it was a good move due to the boats and water craft in the area and the with the river cruise boat that docks there, I don't believe it is a good place for kids or adults to be swimming. They have a nice swimming area down at Leslie Groves Park in north Richland.

Tumbleweed festival 27 years running? YESS! Beautiful park standing alone, but the fact that the park and the folk community trust each other so much makes this place absolutely magical! Looking forward to Tumbleweed 2025!!!

Such a great place for family and friends to gather. Spacious and lots of shade with the Columbia River for splash with the kids. Bbq and relax.

4th of July was packed! On a normal day though it's been perfect. My 4 year old loves the wading pool, (which is about a foot deep and fully fenced) and my older boys love swimming in the river! There is kind of a drop off of big rocks to climb down to get to the river in most spots, FYI.

We love this park! It's beautiful, has a great path for running, bikes or walking, has an amazing playground (climbing walls are the highlight!) and river beaches. Can't beat Howard Amon!!!

The playland was great. Nice clean and safe environment for my boy to play. Being next to the river gave it a nice ambiance and fresh environment in the evenings.

Great atmosphere and clean paved walking trail. Got some alone time exercise in today for my Birthday.

Great spot to relax in the shade or go walk along the river. Most days in the summer there are cruise boats and lots of good people watching. Lots of homeless too though so the bathrooms can be closed due to vandalism unfortunately.. plenty of parking and also good swimming areas.
Jim A — Google review
A great park any time of year. And it’s only 3-4 min drive from the hospital, so it’s great if you have a wait. There is also a gallery/gift shop right next to it.It has tennis courts, awesome playgrounds (one for 5-12 year olds, one for 2-5 year olds), all of the park benches are swinging benches, a boulder/rock climbing area), a music area with mallet percussion, a water front walking path, and a amphitheater. Beautiful views throughout. You can easily spend 30 minutes or many many hours there. Lots of tress for shade. It even had an AED on site for emergencies! I think there is also a concession stand, perhaps open during summer months. It’s also next door to the community center.Park seems clean and well maintained.

I haven't seen any park more beautiful than it. Maybe I haven't seen enough number of parks?By the Columbia river with clean water, it offers a lot of playgrounds for the kids and parents alike.Great place to run and bike. Dog walking also a good option.

There are several areas for picnics, parties, barbecues, etc., and a Gazebo or two you can reserve. Tons of open grass area and pretty good tree coverage. The playground is great, a little bit of disrepair, but the kids have a great time.Restrooms are usually open, safe, and relatively clean.Tons of people walk their dogs here and there are several spots to fill a dog water dish.

Beautiful riverfront park with swinging park chairs and access to the water. It was very relaxing.
Adam P — Google review
The park is vast and runs right along the river. There is a nicely paved river walk that extends a good distance in both directions. There were paddle board rentals and docks. I was surprised that cruise ship docked there so lots of activity. Restrooms were also available near the playground.

Very beautiful park!! It was amazing to see a hydroplane practice landing on the river. The playground had interactive musical instruments and it was well maintained. The dock was also pretty cool. you can see fish and even a small lobster swiing at the bottom. Would definitely visit again.

I love this place if it wasn’t for the water n algae inside the river I’d give it a five starts. In the boat launch just too much growing to start the boat close by.

This was one of the park we went to on our first visit to Tricities and instantly fell in love with the area because of it.The park has a really neat playground for the children and cool swing benches you can sit on while enjoying the beautiful view of the Columbia river. We took our kids here one evening last summer and there were lots of kids at the playground laughing, screaming and running around. Now that may turn some people off, but I absolutely loved it. We live in a small town with a very tiny playground and barely see any kids play in it, so to see that many children playing in this park gave me so much joy. Even after dark there were still tons of people hanging around at the park and children playing at the playground. I didnt want to leave but the mosquitoes chased us away. 😅🤣Pictures attached were from our last visit to Tricities before we move out of state this coming summer.

Waterfront Park in Leavenworth is a peaceful riverside park that offers various recreational activities such as walking and biking trails, play areas, and picnic spots. It's an idyllic destination that features magnificent trees and leaves, which gives it a serene atmosphere. The town of Leavenworth itself is charming with its German-inspired architecture but retains originality to create nostalgia.
The most beautiful thing to do in fall is to visit this place. Truly magical. We even got a view of deer crossing the river. I was so mesmerised that I couldn’t even reach out for my camera to get a picture. Hope the others make up for it. Visited twice. These pictures are from a slightly rainy and cloudy evening. If the weather is sunny the place will be even more gorgeous

Great trail near the river. Flat route. About an hour walk. You should go in a good whether but its nice also on a cloudy day (I was both and both and the difference is noticeable). Highly recommended when you are coming to Leavenworth.

After spending an hour in Leavenworth village I was ready to find a peaceful spot to chill. Went to this lovely park and found a small beach to set my chair and read a book with my feet in the river. Absolutely perfect! Plenty of parking, clean restroom and easy to find location. Fun kids playground and boat launch. Very nice park!

Very educational on native plants and bird species. The trail is very well maintained full of fun nature facts along the way and exercising if you feel like participating. Great beach access.

Waterfront Park in Leavenworth is a hidden gem that deserves a 5-star rating! Nestled right behind the bustling town, this park offers a serene escape. While the parking area is unpaved and can get crowded during peak hours, it’s worth parking a bit farther away and enjoying a short walk.Once inside, you'll find a wonderful place for a stroll, with several well-maintained pathways to explore. Families will love the new kids' park, equipped with modern amenities that entertain children for hours. For elders and those looking to relax, there are plenty of tables and seating areas to sit back and unwind. The park’s tranquil atmosphere provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation, whether walking, playing, or simply enjoying the natural beauty. Waterfront Park is a peaceful haven that offers something for everyone, making it a must-visit spot in Leavenworth. It is highly recommended!

Surprisingly quiet given how busy Leavenworth was. There wasn’t much parking, but it’s a short walk from anywhere in town. There are no restrooms, just portapotties with hand sanitizer.

Vancouver Waterfront Park is a stunning riverside gem offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban amenities. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks along the Columbia River, relax in well-maintained green spaces, and explore a variety of dining options. The park features attractive elements like a cable-stayed pier and a "headwaters wall" water feature, adding visual interest to the landscape. Clean facilities, including public restrooms, make it ideal for extended visits. While some restaurants may be pricey, the overall experience of this beautifully developed area makes it a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.

Waterfront Park is just down the hill from the main street of Leavenworth and provides a nice respite from the bustle of the main drag. There is a nice playground for the kids, plus a nice walking path that goes along the water. Worth strolling down here for some exercise and change of scenery. A sign says to be watchful for bears; we didn't see any. (That's not a complaint!)

A nice and calm place for a walk. It's a flat trail right by the river with trees surrounding the trail.
Pradeep N — Google review
Beautiful park with walking trails next to the river. In March, the ground was compact dirt and not muddy. We went to the playground which was great for older kids 5+ (fewer things for toddlers). Seems to be an easy walk from downtown and is bike-accessible.
Ashley H — Google review
This place is truly beautiful. The leaves all change in the fall. In the summer, the lake is so crystal clear that you can clearly see the bottom of the river. Just watch out for Bear scatt!
Kelsey J — Google review
This is a nice little park along the water front. If you’re only in town a short time, and don’t have time for a big outside adventure you can get your outdoors fill exploring the trails here. You can definitely have a couple hours of fun an exercise here.
Jason M — Google review
It's a nice little park to have a stroll. Really easy and requires practically no effort and is suitable for all ages.
Marilyn M — Google review
Make sure to include a visit to the enchanting waterfront park during your trip to Leavenworth. It offers a surreal experience, with each season bringing its unique charm to this tranquil spot. It's a quaint and peaceful destination, and our usual routine is to begin at the waterfront park and then stroll into downtown as we make our way back.A drawback is that the maps are not very informative, making navigation quite challenging for someone visiting for the first time, in my opinion.

Beautiful and easy walk! My soggy doggy and I had a great time. It wasn’t very busy because it was cold and rainy. I imagine in summer it’s packed!

The Sunrise Visitor Center is the highest visitor facility in the park, offering exhibits, ranger-led programs, picnic spots, and stunning scenic views. Situated at an elevation of over 6,400 feet on Mount Rainier, it provides access to acres of wildflower meadows and breathtaking vistas of glaciers. The drive to the center is a picturesque experience with opportunities for hiking along trails like Sourdough. Visitors can also enjoy stargazing after sunset due to minimal artificial lighting in the area.
It is a treat to be living within driving distance of Mt Rainier National Park. Not just that we get to see the majestic mountain most evenings, we get to climb and get up close to glaciers! This was our second trip to the Sunrise area and we did the Burroughs Mountain trail this time, a 6 mile round trip hike with incredible views every step of the way.
A R — Google review
A pinnacle of natural beauty! Mt. Rainier is an episodically active volcano, but don’t let that scare you. The drive up to Sunrise was beautiful, and the view of Rainier from the visitor center is already picture perfect. But we decided to hike up Sourdough trail. For some extra fun, bring headlamps and hike the trail near sunset. When it falls dark, the stars (and even Milky Way) are fully visible. It was nice of the park to not install lights in the parking lot, which made the sky even brighter.
Joshua L — Google review
Highly recommend this visitor center out of the other visitor centers at Mt Rainier NP. The rangers were fantastic- greeting us with a map and conversation before we even entered the visitor center. The views are amazing, and there is a place to pull off and enjoy the scenery before reaching the visitor center and lodge. We were blessed with fantastic weather which made for great views of the mountain. Highly recommend the strenuous Burroughs trail if you are up for a challenge. The lodge with snacks does not open until 11 am. If you are going for an early morning hike, bring plenty of snacks! Bathrooms were very clean.
Anna S — Google review
This is a very well kept visitor center with a great view of Mt. Rainier. The park rangers are nice and knowledgeable. Plenty of parking for compact and large vehicles. There's a variety of trails to take to get different views of Mt. Rainier. There's a bit of history posted around the visitor center. Friendly reminder to pack warm and prepared as nighttime can get chilly during the Summer and frigid during Fall and Winter into Spring.
Brenton N — Google review
Just like Paradise, you must have a timed entry to get to this area. Very large parking lot that, while very full, was not difficult to find a spot. Vast majority of trails leave from the parking lot. We did the “sunrise rim trail” listed on AllTrails. 5.3 miles RT 1,115 ft of elevation gain. Hard hike, but easier than the Skyline trail. Did it counter clockwise. Would highly recommend.
Andrew B — Google review
The 3 stars is only because during construction they only have one water fill station that is slow. With the heat wave when we visited I don’t think this is safe for hikers. People were leaving the line instead of waiting. There is no nearby places to purchase water. The location is 5 stars.
Dirk L — Google review
This is a large and really nice visitor center, complete with souvenirs and water you will need out on the trails. This is a much better and less crowded visitor center than the Paradise one - so go here if you have the choice. This is the step-off point for the Burroughs Mountain Trails.
Greg E — Google review
Park right at the visitors and hike from the parking lot on trails with amazing views. My favorite trail is a loop from the parking lot up to Frozen Lake them to Burroughs 2 for lunch. Then back down taking the loop past shadow lake and back to the parking lot. Just under 6 miles. If your feeling more adventurous, at Burroughs 2 continue down the trail and up the next hillside to Burroughs 3. The view is amazing and worth the extra time.

What an amazing viewpoint for Mt. Rainer and nearby valley areas. At 6,400 feet elevation, the cool summer, mountain air was very crisp and refreshing. This is a must stop for those desiring to see up close this massive 14,411 foot volcano outside of Seattle, Washington. The center is a beehive of activity. The help is outstanding and very capable.

Awesome building, lots of information and exhibits. Spectacular views of Mt Rainier. Need to come early and have a reservation. By noon the line to enter was over a mile long.
Toby B — Google review
I've been exploring sunrise spots for several years, and each visit only deepens my appreciation for them. Today, I made an early reservation with an entry window between 1 pm and 3 pm. I arrived early and was told to return and wait until 1 pm. I waited about two hours, using the time to explore other areas. When I returned around 4 or 5 pm, I noticed that the gates were open, and people were entering freely. It seems that after 5 pm, there aren't any strict entry checks.
ADVENTURE L — Google review
Great area to see Mt. Rainier. The visitor center doesn’t open till mid July but there were still a variety of beautiful hikes, a place to buy snacks and a good restroom. Our favorite hike was to the lookout. Whether you plan on hiking or not it’s still a great place for views of the mountain and glaciers.
Quincy B — Google review
The visitor center has a snack bar for some quick to-go snacks along with coffee and a couple of soup options. Open on weekends from 9-5pm. Well maintained flush toilets. The visitor center also has some bunch of information on the volcano and the flora and fauna on the mountain. I prefer this visitor center when compared to Paradise since you have comparatively lesser crowd both at the center and on the trails and definitely closer views of Rainier.
Castern F — Google review
Smaller visitor center with interpretive exhibits and small park store tucked in the corner. Passport stamp, flower guide, and area trails map all readily available. Ok view of Tahoma and the surrounding mountains. Restrooms are available between the VC and day lodge. Picnic area located behind the VC. No food or rentals, those are available in the day lodge. Worth your time.

If you are planning to see sunrise, plan to come at least 1 hour early to sunrise . You need to hike at least 20 minutes to reach a place you have a good view . Secondly the pre sunrise rays are the one that makes rainier beautiful

We visited the day before July 4th and the ranger at the entrance warned us that there may not be parking. We lucked out and got a parking. There was a ranger making room for extra parking spot. The Visitor Center was closed. We lucked out with beautiful weather, and Mount Rainier was prominent and spectacular from various angles. There were wildflowers and some snow. We hiked Sourdough Ridge Trail which provided panoramic view of the Cascade Crest Summits.

Snoqualmie Falls, a renowned 270-foot waterfall in Washington, is set amidst a 2-acre park and features an observation deck and gift shop. The falls are famous for their appearance in the opening credits of Twin Peaks and attract over 1.5 million visitors annually. Surrounded by fragrant pines, the falls cascade into a deep blue pool with a pedestrian footbridge leading to an observation deck and an easy trail to the base.
Perfect place for a trail walk. Very picturesque and beautiful views. Highly recommended with kids and family.

There’s nice boardwalks fences separate areas wanted to go to the river the other view of the waterfall.Hundred feet higher than Niagara Falls. How do you recommend recommended for anyone who has not been here. It’s fun for kids and families. Bring the cute pets along with them. That’s a good nature walk.Handicap parking is free .

A perfect mini day trip while visiting Seattle. It’s about a 45 minute drive from downtown and right off of the freeway. Very easy to find, free parking, easy 1.4 mile round trip hike (the return is quite steep). If you can’t do the hike, there’s an observation platform to get a nice view. This is not an all day excursion; it’s a perfect amount of time to get away from the city and soak up some nature for a couple of hours. You can easily venture to the falls in the morning and be done by noon and have the rest of the day.
T L — Google review
I love that there are different viewing platforms and you can travel up or down and you can get a great view of the falls from below. The only thing you have to pay for is parking there is a free parking area but it's really difficult to get parking in there. The two times that I have gone I have not been able to park in the free parking area. Also the free parking area gives you much longer of a walk to get back to your vehicle. The second time I went I was able to actually go in the gift shop area, I was kind of sad to see that they don't allow pets inside I understand because there is food being served but they do allow your pets to be on the outside porch unless the outside porch is closed. Even though I'm a strong believer of not paying for parking I still really enjoy the experience and the two hours is plenty for you to be able to get to the top of the falls and the bottom of the falls and back to your vehicle before the 2 hours runs out.

Snoqualmie Falls are absolutely breathtaking! The view from the observation deck is stunning, with the 268-foot waterfall cascading down into the river below. It's a peaceful and awe-inspiring spot, and the surrounding lush greenery only adds to the beauty of the area. The hike to the base of the falls is short and easy, offering even closer views. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or just looking to escape into tranquility, this place is a must-see. Highly recommend for everyone living or visiting PNW region. A place to enjoy in all seasons with its natural colors!!!

Maybe a top-5 favorite place (and town) for me in Seattle vicinity. Great place to spend a day here and in the old logging community (aka Twin Peaks) town next door. Park next to visitor center is 7.00 for 2 hours, and 5.00 for each hour after. Park across the street (to the right side) lots, and parking is FREE, and you can easily walk over (not hard for handicapped, with the bridge to help out). Walking to the Waterfall Overlook(s) is easy, and handicapped friendly ramps! Walking down to the river is mostly gravel and dirt, and very steep. It will take some effort coming back up, so not senior or wheelchair friendly unless you are in excellent shape! The views are spectacular! So easy to get to and fun. The visitor center is nice too, with a Coffee Shop that has Great sandwiches and baked goods too. Worth a stop. Highly recommend for out of town folks!

It’s a great spot for the whole family. The trail is easy to walk, and even if you don’t want to hike, you can still see the waterfall from different viewpoints. Parking costs about 8 dollars for two hours, which is the maximum time allowed

One of the best falls I’ve seen before from the top and the bottom. Great weekend trip for the family, just know the hike to the bottom of the falls is easy, but it should be known what goes down must go back up. So be prepared, but know there are countless stops to catch your breath. Can get pretty busy on beautiful summer days, but that should be expected.
Joshua B — Google review
A cool hiking route with a fantastic finale. In summer the path is a bit dry and dusty, so I recommend going 1-2 days after the rain to get an even more “rainforest” experience. At the end, great access to the river. But be careful with the stones to avoid tripping. Cold water, but brave souls won't regret going for a swim. Will never be forgotten by me!

Snoqualmie Falls is a stunning natural wonder and a must-visit if you’re in the Seattle area! The falls are absolutely breathtaking, especially after rainfall when the water flow is strongest. There are several viewing platforms, each offering great views of the 268-foot waterfall. The park is well-maintained, with easy-to-navigate trails, picnic areas, and plenty of spots to take photos. The short hike down to the lower observation deck is worth it for a closer view. It’s a peaceful, scenic spot that’s perfect for a day trip, whether you’re hiking or just soaking in the beauty. Highly recommend for nature lovers!”

Easiest place to visit if you are in seattle region. Parking could be problematic as it gets crowded easily. Great views and would recommend visiting the museum and lower falls view point as well.

A must if you are in Seattle. Nestled in the woods of Snoqualmie. Ample of parking, nice cafe to chill after the brief hike down towards the river of Snoqualmie Falls. There are wild black berries during the summer so if you need a snack, they would be good. You can dip your feet in the water, skip some rocks, or maybe take some epic photos with some friends. Please respect the land and don't litter.

Wow. Breathtaking. What’s not to love about this place. Seeing the sunset here was amazing. Parking lot is close and the walk is short. You can walk down to the lower viewpoint of the falls but be prepared to walk back up, otherwise you can drive to the bottom where there’s also river access. Just a 30-40 minute drive from Seattle, I wouldn’t miss this place.

A mesmerizing waterfall . A perfect destination for a day trip just 40 mins from Seattle downtown. There are upper and lower view platforms of the waterfall that u can visit. Both the places have free parking. And not much walking is required to get a view.

There's nothing like this place other than maybe the Smithsonian but that's in Washington DC and this is the most amazing collection I have ever seen in one place, kept in tip top shape and curated well with rotating exhibits. The building and everybody on the team at LeMay really are dedicated to making this a special place. Also it's not just about the building and the exhibit inside in the collection it's also about the events that happen around the museum on the grass the fun weekend events that we participated in as a family. Thank you guys!

Even if you're not car person, it's still amazing place to go with your family! A lot of learning and entertaining stuff for kids, my kiddos loved it! This museum is American history in cars, from first car to the newest. Plenty of parking, no lines. Recommend to anyone 💯

One of the best car collections on the West Coast. Really well-done in representing many decades of automotive/ vehicle history! We became members because we want to visit often! A real treasure in Tacoma.

This place is really impressive. If you have the opportunity to go, you will enjoy it as much as I did! Full recommended. The house with a 300 cars in their garage only opens once a year (the last Saturday of every August), don’t miss it!

LeMay is hands down one of the coolest automotive museums I have ever visited. The amount of vehicles presented was incredible, and the information about each one was informative and interesting. The museum was much larger than expected, with multiple floors dedicated to different eras and styles of cars. All staff was courteous and knowledgeable.Highly recommend. (Try the racing simulator on level 2, it was definitely a fun experience!)

Recently visited Le May for a conference, and it was such a fantastic experience! Incredible collection and our docent, Ken, was entertaining, knowledgeable, and engaging with us through our tour! Their gift shop impressed me too with the wide variety of items available. Spoke briefly with the manager(?) of the shop and she explained she wanted to ensure there was something for everyone since she acknowledges that often times, there will be guests accompanying the more enthusiastic car fans to tour the museum 😁

Very nice selection of vehicles, well displayed, and described.Fantastic staff, lots of free parking, and easy access. My only complaint would be that when we were leaving a staff member passed us as we stopped in an occupied pedestrian crosswalk to open the lower parking lot.

This was an excellent museum. The only real draw back is the Kids area really lacks in stuff to do and could use some TLC. If we want to ensure the continued growth in car lovers they should really have a large kids area to play and keep the education going. Better kids area will get you a consistent 5 stars.

We visited the LeMay for the first time for an all day Girl Scout event. We've been to similar events at the Tacoma Nature Center & Museum of Flight, and I was really impressed by the organization of the LeMay Education staff! They did a terrific job giving the scouts (ages 7-11) a tour of the museum, and guiding them through the engineering and design of 2 different model cars. The girls had a blast! There were a lot more interactive displays than I expected, and my daughter didn't want to leave. It was much more family-friendly than I anticipated. We'll definitely be back!

Wow, this place blew my mind. The cars and how they are laid out can't be beat. There is something for every car lover out there. Many different floors, you will spend at least 2 hours or more looking at everything.Follow the rules don't touch or let your children climb on the vehicles. Stay out of the roped off areasDon't forget to stop by the gift shop on the way out, so much to buy.

Get started as early as you can or take two days to view all the info and cars. Location is close to Museum of Glass and several others. LeMay was a unique family and we all get to benifit from there love of automobiles. The museum is in a very cool building. The collection is beautiful and vast. Brought back some memories of growing up with some similar cars my family owned. There is a nice lawn area next parking lot and we walked the dog around several times.

Cars aren’t really my thing, but there is so much here from all eras of vehicles in the U.S. and the World that you are sure to find at least something interesting. The museum’s architecture is also worth the visit. We spent over an hour here going down the winding display ramps and then back up.

What a fantastic auto museum! It was a birthday surprise for a 22 year old from Nicaragua, who loves cars and motorcycles. Several floors of beautiful antique and modern vehicles. My friend enjoyed 2 different racing/driving simulators. Staff roam around and will answer any questions, as well as give background on various vehicles. Great customer service. Tabo at the simulator was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Easy to get to and well worth the admission fee on this visit they had a car collection review. Lots of classic little cars from the past. And present. As he traverse the four floors of this great collection, you walking past history the oldest car I saw in there was from 1902. A lot of these beauties brought back. The Museum of Glass in Tacoma, located in a 2-acre complex, showcases diverse indoor and outdoor glass-art exhibits. The highlight is the 500-foot-long Chihuly Bridge of Glass, offering a tunnel of vibrant colors and light. Inside the museum, visitors can explore galleries with rotating exhibits, watch glass-blowing artists at the conical-roofed Hot Shop amphitheater, or try their hand at arts and crafts in the studio.
Amazing collection!! The museum takes about 1.5 hours to experience. They make kids draw ideas and then they build one of it out of glass once every month! So cool! The glass making process is incredible, lot of fun to watch
Poojan P — Google review
Nice museum with beautiful glass art. The museum entry fee ($22) is steep for the small amount of art on exhibit. A $10 entry fee would be closer to a reasonable price. Parking is not free either. With that said, the glass objects on display are stunning. The kid-designed objects created in the on-site workshop are amazing and amusing. The giant chandelier - something from a Dr. Seuss book - is the craziest glass creation you will ever see.

Thank you for being a part of the Blue Star Museum Program! We had a great time viewing the glass art. I recommend viewing any work going on in the Hot Shop before looking at the artwork. We viewed an exhibit for a short time before the demonstration, and it changes the way you look at the work after seeing the skill that goes into making glass art.The also have little sections for kids to play and interact as well.

The Museum of Glass in Tacoma offers a mixed experience. At $22 for admission, the price feels steep given the museum’s limited size, which can be fully explored in under an hour. During my weekend visit, the atmosphere was surprisingly empty, detracting from the overall experience. While the environment is pleasant and the store is beautifully decorated, prices for items there are also quite high. Overall, I found the museum lacking in excitement and would not recommend it unless you’re particularly interested in glass art.
Manas S — Google review
Great place for a quick indoor walk. Not the biggest museums but quality of the work showcased makes up for it. Check schedule for live viewing of glass blowers, highly recommended. Shop has lots of glass art to buy at all price points. Outdoor area is great, and free, make sure to walk through the bridge.

Every third Thursday is free 5-8pm.You’re able to view beautiful glass galleries, glass being blown, kids area (with light up toys, drawing area, magnets, shadow work), and a store to buy glass for your home. The exterior is beautiful, artwork in itself with both the unique building and glass fountain near the water. It’s $5 to park building.
Kyleigh C — Google review
Honestly, this is a very tough place to rate. The art collection is fairly small, especially for the price you pay (over $20 a head!). Especially when there is a LOT of interesting glass art you can see for FREE on the bridge connecting the museum to a college. On the other hand, if you have ANY interest in how glass art is made, it’s hard to beat the “show”. Guest artists come in and lead a team of pros (employed by the museum) in the creation of something. You are free to watch for as short or as long as you want, and a narrator/mc/guide leads you through what is going on. Ours was particularly good and very open to questions from the gallery. I’d only intended to watch for 10-15 minutes but we ended up watching between 60-90!If you really want to get this museum’s full experience, plan on spending some time watching the art being created.

This is a very nice museum filled with pretty and creative glass art. It has a workshop where you can watch glass blowers at work demonstrating how to create such art. I also loved the gallery dedicated to elementary school kids' designs - very humorous and creative stuff! Also liked the store where you can buy a few memoribila on the way out. I would say one would spend 2 hours here. It's worth a visit.

This place is awesome for a day trip w the family. There's alot to see. There are displays that young kids made. These kids are pretty darn creative. You can watch them make the glass displays. There are a few glass towers out on the roof top which has water flowing from them. You can get wet. My grandkids had a blast.

Came here on the museum promo Thursday (don’t remember what it’s called exactly?) so it was free! This museum was super cool, and I’m just so glad I get to visit it. There were many beautiful glass exhibits and interactive areas. Stories behind the art work was cool too. Suitable for all ages. The glass making workshop was also a really cool place to stop by to watch people making glass products!! It was really warm in there, so I appreciate the drinking water provided at the entrance/exit.The souvenir shop had good selection of items but sadly they didn’t have any snow globes!

I’ve wanted to see this museum for years and finally did. It was absolutely amazing and did not disappoint. A highly skilled glass blower just happened to be featured that day in the studio so I got to see experts in action along with narration and a video screen covering everything up close so you could see it from any seat in the studio. The museum was just the right size for me, all on one floor with only 2 or 3 galleries (4?) - I personally don’t like huge museums that take hours to get through that, consequently, make me feel rushed and afraid I won’t see it all. How much can one person really take in and fully appreciate in one visit anyway?! I went mid week, early afternoon, off season, and there were few other people there in that particular day so I never felt crowded or pushed. The staff were friendly and there’s a nice little deli/restaurant with good coffee, desserts, salads, and a variety of meat and veggie sandwiches plus a nice (high end$$) gift shop and clean bathrooms (I counted 3) - what else could I have wanted? I was so impressed that I bought a membership and plan to take visiting guests next time they come to town. I drove 110 miles, one way, to see it and every mile was well worth it. I highly recommend this museum if you want to see glass blowing in action and the very creative, beautiful, and high quality end products that the artists create.

This place is awesome. The exhibits are super cool and watching people forming glass is a memorable experience. Parking requires you to pay via an app and charges a 25¢ surcharge.

I've visited the MOG before, but it's been several years. While deciding how to spend our time on a rainy Saturday, my wife suggested making a stop here and the history museum (an equally enthralling visit). There are some truly wonderful pieces in the museum right now, many of which are best viewed in person. The Untamed: Anatomy of Desire and A Two-Way Mirror exhibitions were particularly intriguing.Watching artists work in the Hot Shop and viewing the kids' glass designs are both highlights. It may not be a constant problem, but the parking payment kiosks under the museum were running slow. One was basically out of order (stuck on a loading screen) and the second one had a long line to use it. There is an option to pay with the Flowbird app, but people in line mentioned they couldn't get service in the parking garage to do so.

Such a cool museum! The gallery is somewhat small but have plenty of stuff in the display. We have to say, one of the best parts of this glass museum is that they help kids create works based on their drawings, and we were amazed by how creative kids are. Talented glass makers! Also, you can see live demo on how they make all sort of glasses, that’s awesome! We’re here for the NACIS conference, and saw this cool city nonplanimetric view. As a cartographer, I enjoy this piece of work a lot!

I had this museum on my list to visit while I was in town for a music festival and it did not disappoint. I've seen several glass exhibits around the country but this was one was truly awe inspiring. I loved learning about the history of the location and what they made it into today. The live demos were incredible to watch as well from someone who's enjoyed the Netflix show "Blown Away". So many amazing Chihuly pieces as well as many from other incredible artists showcasing different styles and techniques. My personal favorite was the eDNA exhibit on local salmon. It was so mesmerizing, I just sat there for several minutes watching them move in the air. Also enjoyed that it wasn't just an indoor museum but has several outdoor installations as well. Gorgeous contrast with the surrounding landscape. I did visit on a weekend in February so I believe it may have been a slower season and I was able to walk up with no wait. The gift shop is also incredible and well worth a browse whether you're looking for something small to take home as a memory or a larger piece of art for your collection. Highly recommend for anyone in Tacoma!

This is such a nice place to explore. There is so much to do that you will need at least 2 days to really enjoy it. We had just a few hours and I left wanting more. We visited the rose and Iris garden, it was not time for the Dahlias not the Fuchsias yet but it would have been beautiful for sure! We also walked around some of the trails and explored the beach. Great job to the City in maintaining the park. I very much recommend it.

Beautiful park. So many trails to explore, plus the beach if that is your preference. The dog park is a great spot to let the dog off leash in between exploring the trails. Only down side is that it is not fully fenced, so may not be a good spot for those little escape artists.

Great park around a peninsula. They also have marathons through the park which is challenging because of the hills. A quaint ferry launch, and Anthony's restaurant adjacent. The 5 miles drive is especially pretty, and even more if you bike it.

Very spacious park. It has a beautifully maintained garden area. There are no flowers as of now, but I am sure it will be breathtaking when spring comes. Variety of flora is impressive and unique. There was this huge tree that I instantly fell in love with. Also I was surprised to find out that there are two historical buildings located in this park. One of which used to be a residential house, and another one used to be a train station more than 100 years ago.I am definitely coming back. Walking there felt super refreshing 💖

Pike Place Fish Market is a renowned stall in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market, where fresh fish has been sold for decades. The market offers a wide variety of goods, from flowers and artisan crafts to fresh produce and seafood. One of the main attractions is the playful atmosphere at Pike Place Fish Market, where employees toss fish to each other while singing and yelling. This unique tradition has made the market famous and entertaining for visitors.
What an amazing place! They have so many different offerings and the vibe here is awesome!I bought a couple pounds of mushroom and the guy here was incredibly helpful...to the point that I flew home with POUNDS of produce, nearly packed for TSA - they didn't even bat an eyelash. The seafood is outstanding, the produce is next level, and what a cute place to spend the morning having the freshest breakfast ever.Pike Place was a highlight of the trip! It's too busy and crowded for me, even in winter! But there's good shops, it's super expensive for anything but it is more for tourists. So, many places to see though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Pike Place Fish Market is an absolute must-visit when in Seattle! The lively atmosphere, combined with the iconic flying fish experience, creates a fun and unforgettable stop in the heart of the market. The staff is incredibly friendly, skilled, and they really know how to put on a show. Beyond the entertainment, the seafood here is top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and responsibly sourced. I picked up some of their famous smoked salmon, and it was the best I've ever had! Whether you're a local or a tourist, this place truly embodies the spirit of Seattle. Highly recommended!

Watching these guys toss really big fish around, playing catch with a twenty pound salmon is fun and amazing! They will let a customer try their hand at the fish occasionally! There are always free samples and the fishmonger guys all repeating orders in loud sing song voices. It’s really an amazing little spectacle in the middle of what is truly a wild scene in the Pike Place Market. Don’t miss this!

Found Pike Place Fish Market as advertised, all types of fish, great selection, with employees that enjoy their job and, yes, fish do fly through the air. It was a lot of fun. Found many other shops in the market area, great little restaurant we had lunch at, and all kinds of shopping. Worth a visit!!

This place is great! It’s a fun pace to visit as the workers are lively and toss fish around. The fish themselves are amazing. Purchased a fish here and it was probably the best fish I’ve ever had. So delicious. You can purchase a fish and get it delivered overnight. Highly recommend!

Pike Place Fish Market is one of the world-famous fresh fish markets. The storefront is lined with fresh, locally caught seafood, including wild salmon, halibut, cod, king crab, and caviar, with seasonal seafood arriving daily. One of the highlights of this market is the flying fish. It's a must-see as fish soar through the air for several yards between the staff!

Cool spot to visit if you are touring the city. Has everything from flowers, produce, unique North American berries & fruits, lots of fish, and tons of other small shops you can grab a bite to eat.

Okay, this is a must for anyone going to Seattle. The food, culture, shops are you would honestly need if this was the one place you were going. Just minutes away from the ocean, piers. The food is amazing. Highly suggest going or making it a stop. Go early for good parking

Pike Place and Pike Place Fish Market is where it is at.I just love seeing the fish get thrown. In addition, there is so much more to do here. I love exploring all the shops, post alley and the gum wall, Cobb’s popcorn, and more. I am a Seattleite and I never tire of going to Pike Place. There are great restaurants and ice cream and dessert shops here as well. Beecher’s Cheese is also worth a visit. Just a warning for those that don’t like crowds, please know that on weekends it’s super busy, especially during the summer months. If you don’t like crowds, go during the week or super early on the weekends.I highly recommend checking out Pike Place!

This experience is not to be missed on a trip to Seattle! The guys that run the shop are very friendly and will answer all of the touristy questions. Fun fact: they can ship any requested item on ice (overnight), guaranteed to arrive fresh, NOT frozen! You may wait a bit to see the “fish throwing” as they only do it once someone buys something. It’s definitely worth waiting to see!

Pike's Market is a really cool experience - it's definitely worth the visit if you're in Seattle and haven't been. We stayed at the State Hotel which is within walking distance (nice option if you're visiting specifically for Pike's or for a cruise). Inside the market is crowded as you might expect, but it's packed with cool shops and food vendors. It's multi-level and kind of a winding labyrinth in some respects. We sort of stumbled our way to the gum wall by accident, which is quite an interesting experience (in "ghost alley" I think), and there's even an entire brewery section. We visited Pike's multiple days and found cool new things each time. Highly recommend!

These are the flying fish catchers! It was fun to see this in real life after having watched videos on socials. The guy catching the fish at the front of the market has some talents and also bundles of charisma keeping the crowd entertained but also encouraging people to purchase the fish! Unfortunately, I was visiting from Australia so no fish for me but, that was entertaining and I encourage locals and people visiting from nearby to shop while there!!

Always fun to see what's going on down at the pike. From the food to handmade craft items and various themed shops throughout, there's something for everyone to enjoy and find interest in. A bit of an anxiety mess if you don't like shoulder-to-shoulder window shopping but it's just how it has always been. Bring hand sanitizer if you go down by the gum wall!

Pike Place Market offers a truly unique and vibrant experience for locals and visitors alike. It’s a must-visit destination that captures the heart and soul of the city. Walking through the market, you're greeted by a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells. The colorful stalls of fresh produce, artisan crafts, and specialty foods create a lively and inviting atmosphere. The energy of the market is infectious, with street performers adding to the bustling ambiance.

I always have a good time when I go to this market. It’s right next to the marina and they have wonderful stores with great prices and I love stopping and watching them throw fish. It’s such a neat experience lots of food places and we stopped and had Mexican food and it was wonderful. I highly recommend everybody go to this market when they visits Seattle.

This place is just ridiculous! Six floors of vendors, food, flowers, arts and crafts, all sorts of things! You could spend the entire day here, and not see everything. I had to buy some crab to get shipped home!OMG that Bairdi crab we received today, on time, was remarkably the best crab we've had ina long time. Defrosted and steamed for 7 minutes, it turned out amazing. We could not believe how delicious it was.WOWEE KAZOWEE!

Over the years I've seen Pikes Place Market and the Pikes Place Fish Market on various travel shows, news, etc. I visited Pikes Place Market and arrived early, which was a smart move because the market gets very crowded as the day progresses. One of our stops was to check out the legendary market. You can watch as the lively fishmongers throw giant fish across the counter with the precision of Olympic athletes, all while cracking jokes and engaging with the crowd. The energy is infectious, and you'll find yourself caught up in the playful chaos. And if you’re lucky, you might even get to catch a fish yourself! Beyond the fish-tossing spectacle, there are incredible smells and tastes from the wide array of local produce and gourmet goodies. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or just here for the show, Pike Place Fish Market is a vibrant slice of Seattle that’s sure to leave you smiling.

The Museum of Pop Culture, located in Seattle, is a must-visit for anyone interested in music, pop culture, and science fiction. The museum showcases over 80,000 American artifacts including items from iconic musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin's bell-bottoms and Elvis Presley's leather jacket. Designed by Frank Gehry to resemble a smashed guitar, the ultra-modern building also features the Sky Church performance arena for concerts.
Had so much fun. It is located in a great part of the city with lots of places to go and see. You can get there on the monorail, space needle is walkable, armory has casual food options. Museum has some great displays. Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix displays were my favorite. The entire building is so cool.

Overall a great museum to visit even if you think you are not a pop culture fan, but once you are in, you automatically realize that there are so much resonance. There are many exhibits, covering music, games, movies, and everything that relate to pop culture.I love exhibits about Fantasy and Horror. Lord of Rings was a bit old for me, but I knew it was a legend and I did read all those books. As someone whose childhood was mainly Harry Potter, I am delighted to see it was given the credit that it deserves for contributing to pop culture. The horror exhibit is also amazing. Seeing all those movie figures and archetypes being displayed really makes me feel exciting and also reminiscent.I didn’t give five star as the experience is affected by the crowd. I know it’s a Saturday morning, so I should not complain this. But there are just way too many people, especially in the Guitar exhibit, it even became difficult to move forward.

This place is a modern pop museum. Loved nearly every exhibit. Everything is so vibrant and engaging. I went in early and did not have any crowds until 3-4 hours later when I was leaving.Food on site is expensive but good.

Worth the visit for the building architecture alone. Spent most of our time in the sci-fi gallery. The horror gallery was closed so maybe next time. We also enjoyed the Jimmy Hendrix and Nirvana galleries. We went early on a Saturday to best the crowds. It’s a big place though so we never felt crowded.

You have to visit this museum if you watched any good movies from the 80s or 90s and if you haven't still visit it. It was an amazing experience. The exhibits are iconic and radiate a vibe from their respective era. There was so much in here that I just didn't post in this review to avoid spoilers. Definitely a must visit for Seattle visitors. The staff are amazing, everything is sparkling clean and this won't take your whole day. The museum has something for most age groups as well in case you wanna go with kids but caters mostly to the aged crowd.

The place itself is amazing and really informative. I prefer not too crowded museum where I can spend some alone time learning something new, but it was way too crowded when I visit there. I can barely see the showcase closely or read the sign cause there are so many people there.

I wasn’t sure how cool it would be, but it surpassed all of our expectations and was quite a fantastic experience, definitely worth it. I recommend going earlier in the day on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Also definitely worth the extra $6 to see the special exhibit. I would allow a few hours to go quickly and more if you want to take your time. Only bummer was the horror section was closed.

It's a must see for anyone who loves pop culture (hence the name). Many great pieces of entertainment history. Although the main reason we traveled from Canada was to see the Horror exhibit, and it was closed, and has been for 3 months?! It would have been nice to get a heads up on that. Guess we'll have to come back. Still with the full ticket price.

Honestly it is extremely fun to go to, I highly recommend going probably on a weekday when everything is not packed. It sucks when it is the weekend, and you go somewhere that has interactive pieces like the indie gaming room, and every single game is taken up already. Aside from that it is educational and great fun

The architectural design of the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop) intrigued us initially, and it proved to be a fantastic visit. We used the 5 City Pass, which was definitely worth the investment. After visiting, this museum exceeded both mine and my husband's expectations. The various exhibits were not only extensive but also provided a unique opportunity to see many iconic items up close, evoking fond memories. Our son enjoyed it immensely as well, making it a great family outing. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and the timing was perfect. The museum was not too crowded, allowing us to fully appreciate the exhibits. If you're considering a visit, MoPop is definitely a place to check out. Highly recommended!

Have been here twice now (2012 & 2024) and enjoyed myself each time. I love the fantasy and sci-fi exhibits that display props and costumes. The upstairs area with the music labs/rooms is a zoo and frankly not worth your time, just stick to the exhibits and you'll still have a great time.

I have a long history with this museum. I’m proud to say I was one of his first employees! I stood listening to Layla play on repeat over and over again for a whole summer and I loved it.That was before all the name changes, and it’s expansion into the science fiction museum? I’m not sure what that wing is now called. But I do think it makes for a fun experience.I was disappointed that the Horror section was closed but enjoyed the rest of it. It does seem less “experiential” than back when it was the Experience music project. Also, I might add a lot less music.I thought it was a bit expensive- even for Seattle. I was also a bit miffed that you had to pay extra for the special exhibit. I mean it was six bucks! Just include it with the price of entry.

Super fun! The whole museum was super fun you can do the whole thing in less than an hour and a half. One adult ticket is $34 including the special exhibit that was added for the time being. I’m not sure of the price was worth it because you don’t get to do a whole lot and it’s super crowded but I do think it’s worth going at least once

Love this place. I have been here two times, and the first time I got to see all the exhibits. I am disappointed that the Horror exhibit was closed, as I wanted to see the Xenomorph again, but I still enjoyed being here with my dad and brother. (pictures include me, my brother, my dad, some exhibits that I enjoyed, and my brother trying to fight Mario)

Haven’t been in years but it was just as magical. We went to see the Coraline exhibit and had a blast. I love seeing all the history this museum has to offer. Great outing for tourists or natives. Best to try to find street parking the lot can get pretty expensive as you should plan to spend a few hours here. Also be sure to choose an earlier time slot as it gets very crowded later in the afternoon.

I had no idea they changed 😂Took some friends to share an experience we had - 2 or 3 big displays had changed, although amazing I was really impressed with what was done before.Highly recommended, probably the jewel of the space needle area outside of music events. They added more Star Wars items and a few other gems since the scary monster section was closed - they were prepping for the Nightmare after Christmas 🎃🎄Grab lunch, dinner, or afternoon snack. Complete with a full bar

A really unique museum! It felt so cool to see games, bands, and movies that I love in a museum! Only complaint really is the interactive aspects are just so crowded, people will also just stand RIGHT next to it (aka in your personal bubble) so that they can get to it next.

The museum of pop culture was totally awesome! I felt like a big kid going back in time back when people came to concerts and never had cell phones, back when people actually enjoyed live music and authentic artist! The museum of culture is much needed in today’s society when culture is going downhill , the museum of culture is a place to be experienced. I loved the Jimmy Hendrix area, and I also loved the area where Nirvana had left a piece of their history.Seattle is so beautiful , Seattle’s culture was so beautiful and authentic and rich. The museum of culture I do hope will expand. I hope artist from the Seattle area, especially the greater Seattle area will be counted in the museums catalog. It was worth the trip seeing all of the artist and learning much about pop culture.I also like how they define the difference between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation I would caution that there is a gray area, but nevertheless, having that American representation from all music genres, there is a plus.

Many artifacts from Nirvana to Jimmy Hendrix, B.I.G. to Lizzo, Wizard of Oz to Aliens. The variety is endless. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the mini amphitheater and watching indie band perform on the giant screen. Many interactive exhibits such as music studios showcasing guitars, drums, mixing tables to actually practice on!Gift shop and food court available. Conveniently located near the tourist bus stops, and the Space Needle.

Observation deck
The Space Needle, a 605-ft-tall spire located at the Seattle Center, offers an observation deck and a rotating restaurant. It was built for the 1962 Worlds Fair and has since become an iconic symbol of the city. The tower's design combines elements of a giant balloon and a flying saucer, giving it a modern and futuristic look. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city, Puget Sound, and distant mountains from its observation deck.
If you're in Seattle the Space Needle is a must. It's the American Eiffel Tower. It very futuristic but of course the best part is the view you get of Seattle. My friend bought us tickets they weren't bad 20 to 30 bucks each. The whole experience is just so great. You wait in line for about 10 to 15 minutes then you get on the elevator until you get to the top floor. Once you get to the top floor you enter an all white lounge full of people and tourists. There's a beverage stand as well. You can order wine, coffee, or hot chocolate. You can go outside but it does get windy and rainy unless you go for summer time. I was there in April when it still rains a lot. Still very majestic view. You must see it.

A must when in Washington State and other locations around it. We bought the City Pass which was well worth the price as it allowed us to visit 5 different locations. We paid a $125 per pass. There are some restrictions. We bought them online. Pass allowed us to visit in the morning and at night for breathtaking views.. Around the same area as the Space Needle is a Museum and a glass exhibit. There are many shops, restaurants, and shopping stores. You can spend all day here.

The Space Needle is an iconic landmark, an absolute must-see in Seattle whether you’re visiting or live here. The views from the observation deck are breathtaking, offering a 360-degree panorama of the city, Puget Sound, and the surrounding mountains. The experience is elevated with interactive exhibits and helpful staff. The glass floor adds an extra thrill, giving you a unique perspective of the city below. Plus it gives you an opportunity to learn some history and how Seattle participated in hosting one of the biggest world’s fair - The Space Needle was built for the 1962 World's Fair, has become an iconic symbol of Seattle's innovation and growth over the decades.. Whether you're visiting during the day or at night, the views are stunning and unforgettable.

It was definitely worth going but it's a little pricey. I did not buy tickets in advance and luckily there was no line. I went on a weekday. I would recommend going on a day where it's not too crowded and that there is also a good view because when you're at the top of the space Needle you want to be able to see Seattle and if it's cloudy you can't really see the view. I'm lucky that I went on a nice day!!

The Space Needle is an iconic Seattle experience! The 360-degree views from the top are absolutely breathtaking—you can see Mount Rainier, the city skyline, and Puget Sound all in one shot. The glass floors and open-air viewing areas make it even more thrilling. The elevators are quick, and the staff is friendly and informative. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Seattle. I recommend going just before sunset to catch both day and night views. The lines can be long, so booking in advance is helpful. Worth every penny!

It's cool when you get up there. The line sucks and unless you actively look around at the history/information stuff, or make friends in line (or have chatty people in your party, you'll dying inside. Once you get up there though, the views are great. I recommend going at dusk/sunset (I don't think they are open for sunrise) for extra cool views. Look around and spend time up there too, there are plenty of little things about the tower and the city to find as you are standing up there. Everything is expensive, the restaurant (need reservations), the alcohol, the snacks, etc. so be prepared to spend money. You also have to be scheduled to show up (a crowd control thing) but they're not strict. We were late because we had an RV to park and that was hard. PARKING TIP: if you park off the street, read the signs. I believe you don't have to pay after 6pm and the meters will allow you to overpay. You can find a bundle for the zoo, the needle, and the glass exhibit for a discount. I believe the restaurant is separate. we didn't do it.

Very cool establishment with two floors of views of the beautiful Seattle skyline. They’re open day and night and I missed the night views. The revolving floor was super fun for my kid and myself. The Photo Booth is interesting and we had some memorable photos. Maybe they can include some more activities inside the restaurants and have clear instructions about which lifts lead where. However the souvenir shop was mind blowing and saw some of the cutest collectibles of the space needle.

Well this is an icon of Seattle, so I decided to do this event with the family. I loved that you get a free photo of your group! The ride on the elevator l didn't really like as l was standing in the front. I didn't like the view going up. The observation deck is nice since you can view from inside or outside. We did both. I wasn't too fond of being so high up but did get some pictures of the city. We went down to the revolving floor and l stayed near the back. It definitely doesn't move fast, but it still moves. It was a dizzying experience. Once in a lifetime was enough for me. There is a humongous gift shop once you make it back down to ground level. I bought a snow globe. The little gift bags by the checkout were only 1.50 US dollars, probably the only thing in there at a normal price. If you don't mind heights go for it! It wasn't a bad experience just one l wouldn't choose to do again.

Was a fun experience to see while in Seattle, but the wait time to get in the elevators can be extensive. I had a ticket time for 5 pm. I was let in at 4:45 and didn't get to the elevators until 5:50. Something to be aware of when booking your times. Also, it's not peak season, I'm aware, but the pie shop at the top did not have a large selection of availability for how many people we're there. It was kind of disappointing. It's still worth a visit if it's your first time in Seattle. It's a unique perspective of the city.

Visited on a Friday evening. Didn't have to buy timed tickets and went inside. There is still a long line to wait for the elevator but there were fun facts and history about the creation of the Space Needle to keep you entertained. Think it took around 30 min before we entered the elevator.Apparently it was crowded up there since we all were able to watch the sun set which was really cool. Nice to get a 360 degree view of the area. You take a staircase down and there is a rotating glass floor. Can get a little dizzy but I enjoyed watching the various elevators go up and down. Once you are done exploring you get in another line to take the elevator down and end by exploring the gift shop.Always an enjoyable stop when visiting Seattle.

We got there around 10AM and there was a little line. For wheelchair ♿️ people, better to go in the Souvenir Shop to get stickers for priority to the elevators foe your group. Also less walking up the ramp from the regular lines. We ❤️ love the rotating glass floor. Think it's the best feature. Even though you know it's safe people were cautious in to stepping on the glass floor. As you rotate around the view of Seattle, take note of the Spider painting on the roof of a school. It was nice. The top floor has an open air sort of balcony. There is the enclosed are with a restaurant. After a while, there were a lot more people. Having the priority sticker really helped. We by passed the long elevator line. The shop was big with interesting items.Wheelchair ♿️ accessible.Maybe seeing it once is enough. Not much but a great view of the city.Vanderbilt 1 in NY, had a lot more features.

Definitely must visit. Not the tallest building in Seattle anymore, but very entertaining/iconic to visit. 605 feet tall. Went as part of CityPASS, $127 for 5 attractions. Spent about 2-3 hours here. Elevators up and down have lineups. Amazing views all around, go on a good weather day.

Gorgeous views of the city! Got a nice little snack 520 feet in the air and I would be lying if I said it was not scary. The elevator ride was very intimidating though thankfully the elevator operator was phenomenal. He made the 45 second ride to the observation tiers feel like 5 seconds with wonderful and funny commentary. Would recommend everyone to visit the Space Needle at least once when in Seattle Washington

Pro tip - if you go before 11am it's $5 cheaper per ticket and it's less crowded with better views! Great atmosphere at the Space Needle. The staff was helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were accessible and clean. The viewing floor at the top had a great view of the city. We went to the gardens next-door after and we’re really pleased with the whole experience. We did buy tickets before hand (a joint ticket for the needle and the gardens)and I would recommend that.

Very cool updates. See through floor outside on lower level, amazing views from both and all sides. Was well set up for a long line wait with mist and things to read once inside.Wait, it was over an hour to get on the elevator to go up. Short wait to go down. Only waited with one group ahead of us.There are lots of interesting things in the large shop downstairs. They serve alcohol and have sectioned off areas upstairs to sit and have a drink if you like that sort of thing. I'm not sure what other eating or drinking options were there. I miss the dinning experience. That was really nice. I hope they bring it back someday or something similar. The clear floor spins to see below as it moves. That's really amazing.

There were long queues at the ticket office, and it's best to research the online deals in combination with other attractions. It is very warm inside leading up to the elevator, but once you're at the top there is effective air conditioning. There are many spectacular views up here and is well worth being your first stop in Seattle.

The view is spectacular.Don't forget to the lower deck where the revolving glass floor where there is a bottom view of the ground.Stay as long as you like.No pressure to leave. Also remember there are many spots where you can take complimentary digital photos you can later access and download using your ticket scan.Don't miss this.

The Space Needle is a must-visit if you're in Seattle, offering some of the best panoramic views of the city. Standing 605 feet tall, it gives you an incredible 360-degree view of downtown Seattle, Puget Sound, the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, and on clear days, even Mount Rainier in the distance. The newly renovated glass floors add an extra thrill, especially for those who aren’t afraid of heights. The rotating glass floor on the lower level gives you a unique perspective, letting you see directly below as the platform slowly spins. It’s definitely an exciting experience, though it may not be for the faint of heart. The elevator ride up is quick, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, often sharing fun facts about the history of the Space Needle. It’s worth going both during the day and at sunset for different views of the cityscape. The downside is the price—it’s not the cheapest attraction, but if you’re into breathtaking views and iconic landmarks, it's worth it. Make sure to get your tickets in advance, especially during peak times, to avoid long waits.

The Space Needle is an iconic Seattle landmark, and visiting it is a must for anyone in the city! The views from the observation deck are absolutely stunning, offering a 360-degree look at Seattle, including the downtown skyline, Mount Rainier, and Puget Sound. The glass floor and rotating observation level add a unique, thrilling experience. The staff is friendly, and everything is well-maintained. It’s a great spot for photos, and the history behind the structure is fascinating. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a local, the Space Needle never disappoints!

An iconic must-do Seattle attraction. Process was smooth to get in and up and the views were worth it. The guy running the elevator didn’t appear to like his job but it was still a very cool experience. The rotating glass floor is super unique. Even if you’re afraid of heights like I am, I encourage you to face your fears and capture the photos! They did have some photo stations with “included” photos but I never figured out how to access them.

It was a wonderful experience. The best part is that the time in the observation deck is not timed. One can stay there as long as they want. There is a bar there which is nice.We had two hours, and it was plenty to be on the deck and one the rotating floor. The view of Mount rainier is very pretty on a clear day.

We showed up to the Space Needle about 10 minutes late for our reservation and they gave us no grief, letting us in right as we arrived. We skipped the info at the beginning to watch the sunset and it was a magnificent sunset! It's gorgeous at the top and the new glass floor was an awesome feature. On the way down, we asked the elevator chauffeur if we could see the info we missed on the walk up and he, along with all the other staff, let us back into that area. They even retook our pictures for us! Great place, kind staff, a Seattle icon. 10/10

The Space Needle is definitely one of Seattle’s most iconic landmarks, and while it’s pretty touristy, many people find it worth the visit. The observation deck offers great 360-degree views of the city, Puget Sound, and the surrounding mountains. If you go on a clear day, the vistas are spectacular. The experience itself can be a bit of a whirlwind—there’s often a line to get in, and it can be crowded at peak times. But the design and engineering of the Space Needle are fascinating, and there’s a nice blend of history and modernity in the exhibits and the rotating glass floor. If you’re into architecture or just want a great photo op with a classic Seattle backdrop, it’s definitely a memorable stop. Just be prepared for the crowds and the slightly pricey admission fee. If you’re in town and have the time, it’s a fun way to get a panoramic view of the city and see Seattle from a different perspective.Note ** We purchased a pass that had 4 or 5 attractions on the pass. You can choose which attractions to visit. We used one of our passes for the Space Needle. It was very touristy, but it was worth it. We also saved money purchasing the pass.**

Must do attraction when in Seattle, don't miss it! The Space Needle may have been designed and built very quickly in 1962, but you'll be surprised by how modern and special it feels 60+ years later. There have obviously been many updates and amenities added. The staff was friendly and fun. My only complaint was the lack of air conditioning in the line at the entrance building leading to the elevator. If you visit on a hot summer day, be prepared for a rather steamy first 30 minutes. After that, it was tremendous! We spent well more than an hour at the top, and despite the crowd it never felt too busy or unsafe. They have drinks and bathrooms up there too! The old restaurant is long gone but there was still a neat rotating floor to explore and enjoy. The photos and memories will last forever, go and check it out! Great family activity for everyone.

We purchased online and when you need to reschedule you can only do so for the same day!! FYI You will not be able to enter the long wait line until the time slot on your ticket. Then we waited 1hr 35min to finally get up to the Free photo, we start in 2lines then they merged into one and people didn’t care about skipping others so be mindful once you past all the building displays. After the Free photo you are packed in an elevator that is accompanied by a tour guide to give you some Fun Facts about the buildings and the city! Very animated! We enjoyed it. And now we are on top taking in all the sights and beautiful views. There are seats but the lean back and I dropped my drink not understanding and trying not to sink against the glass (good1) Be prepared to spend $$ They have delicious baked goods and alcohol but 3waters 2 croissants and apple pie muffin $75 … not joking the muffin was $22 my husband needed a shot after she told him the total.Next there is a rotating floor and glass floor with another free photo in the corner where the assistant was so overstimulated that we never saw his face bc he never looked up from his book as he gave directions with such a sarcastic tone! After all the excitement we ordered a glass wine took a few more photos and called it an evening. It’s a one time for me. The art of the building and its surroundings were definitely breathtaking but in the end it’s a business and It was felt. Shuffled in & Shuffled out.

The price is ridiculous and wish it was cheaper. Over $100 for two adults and one kid. Then waiting over an hour just to get close to the elevator. The view is great but reading the history and how it use to be a $1 and now the dinner is gone. Like really? It makes it less kid friendly when there isn’t much to do with them up there.

It's expensive but fun. There was also a long wait to get in. I assume it would normally be much quicker but they had an elevator down. It was fun as they were allowing people to walk down the steps to the ground from the top for a special time for a free T-shirt. It was a nice walk and completely safe.

Fun experience, beautiful views of the city, the revolving floor was fun. The glass floor was fun. It was fun to learn about the history of the Space needle. I remember going as a kid and they have made improvements along the lines of safety. I was bummed that we didn't get to experience the restaurant, its closed for the renovations. I remember eating there as a kid, that was were the rotating view came from. The restaurant used to be in there. Fun experience, one the expensive side. Enjoy, family friendly!

What an amazing experience! For anyone visiting the Seattle area, I highly recommend going to the Space Needle! We were there on a 37hr layover and the public transportation is awesome! Seattle has a really good public transportation system! We enjoyed our visit and can't wait to go back! We were bummed that there wasn't a restaurant anymore, but the bar is delicious!

Washington State Ferries is the largest ferry system in the United States, offering a picturesque way to explore Washington state. With 24 vessels operating from 20 terminals, it carries over 24 million passengers annually to destinations like Anacortes, Bremerton, Coupeville, and more. Travelers can board with their vehicles or opt for foot or bike access. The ferries provide stunning views as they traverse the Puget Sound and offer convenient connections to various islands and peninsulas.
Riding the Washington State Ferries is always a highlight for me. It feels like a mini adventure every time I hop on. The views are unbeatable - think mountains, water, and sometimes even whales! The ferries themselves are comfy and run on time, which is super handy. I love grabbing a coffee and just enjoying the scenery on deck. Whether I’m commuting or just exploring, it’s an awesome way to see the best of Washington. Plus, checking times and getting tickets online is a breeze. Definitely a must-do experience around here!

Unsure what is more trustworthy, Washington's ferry system or cocktails with Bill Cosby. "Alternate" sailing schedules and they still have the audacity to take you over the coals for 1/2 the service they used to provide. The ability of the organization to screw it's customers is unprecedented. If you rely on the ferry system for transportation, I'm sorry. (Whidbey commuter).

One of my most favorite things to do in Washington state is to ride the fairy . I could spend all day just hanging out on the fairy if they let me . The fairy offers a great alternative to traffic if traveling between Bremerton and Seattle, or Seattle and Bainbridge island. The fairy is heated for comfort and has a full galley kitchen offering cheese burgers, chicken fingers, hot and cold beverages and much more. If you’re in Washington you gotta take a fairy ride. The fairy also transports vehicles as well as people ..

Going from Orcas to Anacortes took 6 hours longer than expected due to complete incompetence by all the government employees involved. The ferry before ours was cancelled due to staff shortages, which happen, but then everyone scheduled to go on that ferry was put on our ferry, and then we spent 6 hours waiting, with a baby. Communication at the dock was sparse and confusing when given. I blame senior management (all working from home--still!) who had no viable plan for such an event. Government employees have no consequences for poor performance. If someone knows how to fix that, please tell us!

The ferry to Bremerton was punctual from Seattle to Bremerton and back. It was reasonably priced, and a beautiful way to travel. The scenery is stunning.

I want to love the Washington ferry system, I really do BUT with the ferries being extremely unreliable, it always makes for a terrible experience. This weekend, I helped transport a boat into Port Townsend, leaving at 6am to ensure we made it with ample time for at least 5 ferry time slots. And then we lug all of our things there after a 7+ hour boat ride only to find they just cancelled all ferries for the day. Weather was perfect — it was a staff shortage issue. So now we are stuck here another night, making for a stressful Monday with ferries and multiple commutes and interference with the work day. Ugh.The worst part of it all is there technically IS a service to ferry you around however it only can be counted on about 20% of the time, so why bother??

Colorblind people are disregarded at the galley, where one would need to have a color perceiver with them to have any idea what sandwich is available. And on Saturday, they had a special sandwich which wasn't even represented on the board. I had the special. It was great! But still, it left a negative taste, since the cashier laughed at my disability when I mentioned it. Simply writing a letter on the dots would make it accessible, but they use a lettering system where they handwrite what I assume is a 'pull' time.

Washington State Ferry system is an embarrassment to our community. Constantly late sailings and/or simply cancelled runs. Lacking adequate parking and public transportation links to the ferry. My experience today on the Southworth-Vashon-Fauntleroy run was disappointing as usual.
Eljay J — Google review
I know the ferry system has gotten a lot of flack lately, but I love my ferry system. They always treat me with respect and get me where I need to go. I, unfortunately, have multiple disabilities which make the ferry ride painful for me. The vibration causes pain and tension, and I have to take medicine to ease that pain every time I ride the ferry. I have to take pain meds, in any case, due to the severity of my back issues, but I have learned to control my pain as long as I remember to take the medicine on time. The ferry personnel always get me close to a restroom or the elevator (I prefer the toilet) and I am able to get quick relief every trip (crucial for me, after all I am 70 years old now and, embarrassingly, have to wear a Depends). Thank God for the greatest ferry people on earth!Photos show a ride on a day when I was parked at the front of the ferry. That doesn't happen often but it made my day! Thanks WSF and ALL the good folks running the ships, stakeholders, too. Big Kudos!!!

I don’t understand, but the last three or four times I’ve gone on the ferry they have not put the cars on the ferry in the proper way ! It should be first come first serve. I have been sitting there, and I have been stuck while they have other rows of cars load that came to the line after me.! It’s ridiculous. It actually makes me furious. It’s not fair and not right. And I’m a local I live on Whidbey Island
LadyBugg — Google review
The staff who help cars load on our ferries surely deserve a hearty shout out. They are incredibly effective at non verbal communicating: signaling clearly and emphatically what we need to do, especially those of us who are new to riding ferries. They give you plenty of heads up to get back to your car. Though a little extra time is always advisable if you’re on a particularly large ferry and don’t know the layout. If they see, wondering tourists going beyond the safety lines for photos of the skyline, they will politely but firmly bring them back in. Next time you see a ferry staff person, give them a wave and a smile and say thank you.

First, I am waiting at Seattle terminal for ferries that are running 20+ minutes behind. Second. Will they ever finish construction here? Third, most of the deck crew have no idea what they are doing or how to direct cars. Yesterday on the Edmunds ferry a crew member told me to drive in one lane, then another guy told me to switch. Someone yelled, “no, keep him in this lane!” And then the crew member was pointing with his finger to the other direction like a basketball hook shot while he was jumping! Really? This is professional DOT approved ferry crew? Not to mention how expensive it is to get on the ferry with a trailer. Under 50ft is $110!Tiny hot dog is $6? I thought these WA State people weren’t capitalists profiting on the commutes of the working class…Ahh, we paid for the 3:50 boat, that left at 4:10… now we are slated for the 4:45pm boat… it’s not even here! Gross incompetence. Replace the director and find good employees!

Schedule consistency is poor, turnover is high. New announcement on the boat of a no harassment policy makes me believe there are a lot of unhappy customers. It’s time to bring in new management.

Awesome little trip you can do solo or with your family. It's about 45 mins one way, you can get off or stay on. Cost $8.65 to get on and that's for a round trip ticket so not bad at all for the price if your visiting like us and wanna have a relaxing boat ride and kill some time. There is alot of diffrent food, a grill where you can order food, healthy meals if your a plant based eater, wine and also beer tap, bottle on the boat and it's all priced pretty reasonable. There are restrooms on board also. Tons of diffrent seating area. If your phones low on charge theres also some that have plugs on the side so be sure to get in fast and grab one with a plug so u can be at 100% for the rest of your visit! Beers about 7 dollars a piece if your wondering.

Washington state ferries are the worst. Very inconsistent, and unreliable. Always changing and canceling sailings with little or no notice. They claim they are under staffed, and have been for over 4 years. Typical Washington government, it’s a shame they aren’t private sector, at least then someone would be held accountable. Years of bad service at the tax payers expense.
Alan B — Google review
Man they are woefully understaffed and there are too few boats. Waited for 6 hrs for a ferry you can’t make reservations for to get off Lopez Island. Ridiculous you have no reservation system for this line and I just have to sit near my car for all that time. We pay a ton more taxes than most places around the country. How about a competent ferry system?

Visited an island today. I was warned about the Washington state ferry system but… nothing can prepare someone for what they can expect to see. This is the biggest joke I’ve come across in this state. I don’t even know why they bother putting out a schedule, from everyone I’ve spoke to, not one run is consistently on time. For the people who commute, you sincerely have my deepest condolences. This is the most ridiculous service offered and it’s a state run service! I’ve never seen a system designed so poorly, the Washington state ferries truly are a joke. A really bad, unfunny joke.

Advice for out of state visitors. Not as slick, well run and efficient as the BC ferry system across the border in Canada, and obviously with a lot of mixed feelings from the locals, Washington Ferries is still an affordable, great experience for visitors. Whether for a short half, full day or overnight trip across the sounds, out to the San Juan islands or further afield to the Olympic Peninsula think about adding a ferry trip to your visit.

Breakdowns, with no information or communication with the public,Even the dock and ferry workers are left in the dark.Probably due to the fact the government is too busy funneling money into the homeless industrial complex, and grandiose visions of an electric ferry fleet that’s been proven to be not feasible by other countries.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is a stunning museum and sculpture garden that showcases the breathtaking glass works of renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Chihuly has gained global recognition for his vibrant and expansive collection of glass blown creations spanning over five decades. The museum, located near the iconic Space Needle in Seattle Center, offers visitors an immersive experience with both indoor and outdoor displays of Chihuly's magnificent sculptures.
Unique experience. I initially was not very interested in exploring this place but the second I saw the first exhibit I was hooked. Lots to see! Beautiful. Magnificent. Colorful. Few words to describe this place. Recommend buying tickets in advance.

Gorgeous pieces displayed very thoughtfully but for the price I expected more exhibits. The famous glass domed area with hanging glass flowers was closed for an event and with a museum this small, it's actually a significant amount of area not accessible. I also found the gift shop lacking. It would be nice if it had some accessibly priced small glass art (made by local artists or something) to purchase as a souvenir rather than the large, extremely expensive (and beautiful!) glass art available. It's nice that there's a professional photographer available in the garden to take free photos, and I found that process very pleasant and it was easy to download the photos on the website.

This thing was pretty cool. Does it get a little old after a few rooms, yes. I actually recommend the movies at the end. They help with story to understand what/why, but it's full an artist's dream in their head, so some people might not get it at all. If you don't have an appreciation for art, this might not be the place for you after a bit. I think it's entertaining enough (I like art, but this is a ton of one type of art.. blown glass). We went at night... I think that's a better time to go because things shine a bit better. Maybe the daytime sun does some cool stuff though.

It took no time to get in, and we really enjoyed the different galleries showcasing beautiful blown-glass sculptures of both small and incredibly large proportions. It was amazing to see the colour, the shapes, and the absolute skill required to create such unique and thoughtful pieces. We were even able to catch a short information session about one of the larger installations, which was very informative. The glass-blowing performance at the end of the tour was also a fun surprise. The Chihuly Garden & Glass is a fantastic museum to look through and be in awe of the colorful and vibrant artwork. They perform glass forming demos as well. I was pleasantly surprised that the artwork wasn't confined to indoors but incorporated within the live well maintained garden as well. The glass & living things are enmeshed so well. I would definitely visit this place if you are visiting Seattle. I actually have one of the multi colored chandeliers at my parents place. Especially if you're already planning to visit the Space Needle since it's right by it and you can bundle the tickets for a better savings. The glass work here was absolutely incredible. We were completely blown away by the artistry and how gorgeous everything was. They also have the lighting set up perfectly to really showcase the colors in the glass. As a bonus you can get a great view of the Space Needle from the Glass Garden. We came here just after they opened and that was the perfect time because there were not many people and we were alone, or with only a couple of people, as we visited each section.

Absolutely beautiful pieces and artistry. There was no wait time to get in on a Saturday in October, and it wasn't too crowded. Really loved both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Lovely museum and garden. We spent about an hour here. I am a fan of Chihuly (I've seen some of his work at the Delaware Art Museum) so was excited to see multiple exhibits of his/his team's art. The lighting throughout the museum really helps highlight the glass. The garden plants themselves weren't that exciting and could be better to complement the glass but this is a small complaint.

Beautiful glass museum. Went as part of CityPASS, $127 for 5 attractions. Explored in about 2 hours. Has glass making demo throughout the day. Be very careful especially with children, no barrier between guests and the art. No sitting near the displays either, there is security in every room reminding tourists to not stray too close to the art pieces.

The museum and garden is inspiring. The glass installations in each room of the museum are breathtaking. Each room has a new surprise. The creativity of the work, the time that each piece took to make shows in the installations. There is an audio tour that you can download as you go from room to room. You can spend hours there looking at the works. In the courtyard they had a mobile hotshop that was showing how glass pieces are made. It's well worth the trip.

Incredibly beautiful, inspiring, and recharging experience. I never knew masterpieces like these can be crafted out of glass. There are lecturers who explain how the magic happens — turning sand to these creations is more than art and skill, it’s chemistry and physics too! Now this was amazing. Super nice museum. Beautiful collections with descriptions. Rooms are very large and spacious. Never felt crammed with too many people. We did the 30 minute tour highlighting a few of the displays. There's a cafe there, though we didn't eat there it smelled so good. Outside garden was pretty cool. I don’t usually like museums but I was blown away by this one. It’s worth your money. You don’t have to stay long, you can walk through as quickly as 15 minutes, but you’ve got to see this place. Absolutely eccentric, otherworldly, gigantic glass sculptures by Artist David Chihuly. I took my time wandering throughout the property. It’s whimsical. There is an outdoor garden and many indoor rooms. One of my favorite parts was the glass flower ceiling, you may be familiar with the one at the Belagio. His art can be found in famous places around the world. My other favorite part is the huge room made of glass walls and the large orange and yellow flower sculpture that runs the entire length of the ceiling. Absolutely stunning. I was so enamored with his work, I ended up watching the entire documentary they show in the theatre room. It’s broken up into several short films about his life and work.

The glass made artifacts display a myriad of colors that are almost hypnotizing. The shapes and structure of the sculptures are also intriguing. Glass as a medium is definitely captivating. We definitely enjoyed our stroll through the museum and the garden reading about different pieces and era. However, the museum is not large and we finished through the exhibition in less than hour. The price seemed steep for the experience but still an enjoyable experience just below the Space Needle.

Hands down one of the BEST MUSEUMS IN THE WORLD!!! (I still have many to visit.....but I'm saying it!!!) The glassblowing and installations are incredible by themselves, then they configure them intertwined beautifully between the flowers, trees and bushes!!! I almost don't wanna post pictures to ruin anything for fellow travelers and art enthusiasts however the pictures can't do the experience justice. Feeling the cool summer breeze with a sprinkle of rain, party cloudy with a sun peaking through the sky and smelling the flowers and seeing all the colors and shapes! Highlight of my trip!!! I think even people unfamiliar with the arts would appreciate or enjoy many aspects of this museum and exhibits. We decided to go first thing on a Tuesday morning and it got busy by the time we were leaving. I would recommend going early so you have more time for yourself enjoying and absorbing the artwork! We did a city pass in Seattle, many more in other cities like Chicago and Atlanta etc. This was the only one that requires reservations at many of the available attractions beforehand. So plan ahead, depending on how busy and what times you are traveling will affect whether or not they will help you book on the spot and then let you in...If you are not staying directly next to the Seattle center like we did but are downtown, take the Monorail directly into the gardens and other site seeing attractions.

I think that most folks should visit the exhibit perhaps once and then wait for big changes to the museum before going back perhaps. The price is a tad up there for the smaller size of the full show but visiting once is highly encouraged. Its rather rare to find glass blowing on the size and oddity that Chihuly (and largely his team) create. The colours are great and the fluid forms as they play with the glass are very beautiful. Pair that with the wonderful fall foliage and it makes a visit a smorgasbord of vibrancy.

Absolutely love Chihuly's work! I took two semesters of glassblowing, so this was a must-stop for us during our visit to Seattle. His artwork and style are simply amazing and the garden was incredible! Highly recommended! Can't wait to fill my new home with his glasswork!!!

Beautiful glass exhibits and displays. Large crowds of people do make it difficult to get pictures taken. Rain kept us from enjoying the outdoor gardens. The ticket price is quite high for an attraction that takes less than an hour to get through even if you're taking your time. Definitely worth one visit but nothing worth repeating.

This past weekend, I visited Chihuly Garden & Glass for the 4th time since it opened in 2012. Each time has been equally magical. This time I brought my 89 year old grandmother, my aunt, and my husband. We had a marvelous time! There are plenty of places to sit if you need a break, or just want to soak in the exhibits. It gets quite busy in weekends. You can purchase tickets at the kiosk before the entry doors. I recommend going earlier in the day to avoid crowds. We had an 11:15am ticket and it was crowded, but not overwhelming. By the time we left around 12:45pm, the line was out the door and a lot more people than earlier. I highly recommend the exhibit. It really is gorgeous. And keep an eye out for the photographers in the different rooms and garden! Photos are complimentary and the photographers take great pictures.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking glass sculptures and art in every direction. Honestly, photos can’t capture the true beauty of these pieces. From the moment you walk through the indoor exhibits to when you step outside to the garden, the entire experience is awe-inspiring.The staff are incredibly friendly, offering insights into the art and even providing a great photo opportunity at the end to help you capture the moment. It really adds a personal touch to the visit. The gift shop was also a pleasant surprise—very reasonably priced, with a lot of unique and cool trinkets. I couldn’t resist picking up a few purple-themed items for my daughters. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a meaningful keepsake. All in all, Chihuly Garden and Glass is a must-visit if you’re in Seattle. The creativity and craftsmanship on display are simply remarkable, and the entire experience is one to remember.

Stunning glass work a fun experience. Really enjoyed the work on the ceiling and the contrast of the various sizes that were made. You can tell the artist took their time and effort to make this a dreamy moment. I'm glad we got to see this firsthand and enjoy the work. Thank you for an amazing time

Absolutely beautiful pieces and artistry. There was no wait time to get in on a Saturday in October, and it wasn't too crowded. Really loved both indoor and outdoor exhibits. It's worth a visit while you wait for your time at the space needle. Total time spent inside was about half an hour, and I felt like I was able to see everything without rushing.

The Chihuly garden and glass museum is absolutely spectacular! Bundle it with the Space Needle ticket and you save a few dollars. As you walk through, one room is more incredible than the next. You will be in awe! The colors and shapes are breathtaking! When you're done, you'll want to start all over again. Leave time for the running videos at the end of the museum. They are very interesting!
Jannean M — Google review
Outstanding displays with intricate work. We were blown away (pun intended)! The staff are very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions you may have. I suggest going to visit after dark. To see everything lit up by lights is spectacular plus the view of the space needle lit up at night is lovely. It is kind of expensive and relatively short but it's definitely worth it and I consider it a MUST visit in Seattle.

Chihuly garden and glass is so beautiful! It’s one of the most interesting places I’ve been and I’m so glad we went! One of the photographers, Richie, made our experience! They guided us through with poses and beautiful backgrounds! We got to know Richie which was really nice! ! I could definitely say if I saw them again we could all be friends! :)

I got a package deal between the Space Needle and this art place. Must see place and experience!!

Boeing Future of Flight, situated on the northwest corner of Paine Field, offers an immersive experience into the history and future of aviation. Visitors can take tours of the commercial jet assembly plant, witnessing firsthand the assembly process of iconic Boeing jets like 747s, 777s, and 787 Dreamliners. The Boeing Studio showcases captivating visuals that tell stories about Boeing's aviation excellence. Additionally, it provides insight into Boeing's significant role in the Pacific Northwest and its prominence in aerospace.
A little overpriced for me. However, it was an amazing place to see.I'm reviewing the facility tour very high. The future of flight building was just okay. It was very underwhelming. If you're doing the plant tour, you must buy in advance. You'd have to get pretty lucky to get in otherwise.

Went on a Monday afternoon and spent about an hour and half there. Thought it would have a lot more things to look at but there were no factory tours available and some of the exhibits were still under renovation. Staff at the drone pilot and AI stations were very friendly and pleasant. Those interactive stations were pretty cool. The price was cheap ($6).Worth a visit if you are in the area and you have a couple hours but definitely not a destination like the Museum of Flight. The gift shop was my favourite part of my visit.
Yong M — Google review
Must visit if in seattle. Great place, the factory is very nice gives an idea of what and how flights are all about end to end. Very knowledgeable tourguides and the tour itself and lot of things to see and understand especially if interested in flights or otherwise too. Great place for children to see and learn. Overall it's worth the visit. Advance booking is required, I booked about 2 days before and tickets were mostly sold out for almost all the slots.only few were left. Plan the visit. Phone and few other things are not allowed for factory visit but they provide you free lockers to keep them.

Wow! Beautiful modern clean gallery Museum. I also go lunch to be the first group of for the new factory tour! Peter was a fantastic tour guide and had all the information memorized to educate 27 of us in a theater presentation, then bus tour into the factory where these amazing Boeing planes are assembled!Awesome gift shop to! And sky deck where you can see the planes landing as well.
John K — Google review
Neat little learning center ran by Boeing. Has an observation deck where you can watch planes come and go and check out the backlog of un-engined 777Xs. Would go with five stars except the factory tour is currently closed, which is the main reason we came to the Pacific Northwest. I am a self proclaimed airplane nerd and Boeing shareholder (I own a whopping 10 shares) so I was disappointed to say the least. Other than that, the Cafe was also closed which we had been planning on for food. Beyond those two issues, nothing else bad. Gift shop on site, ample parking, friendly workers. Awesome to see the world's largest building, too, along with all the planes being prepped for delivery.
Pbandj37 — Google review
We visited Boeing Future of flight and the factory tour. The factory tour began with a video presentation describing the history of the company and founder. The fugue of flight museum has a display of various aircrafts and technological advancements. The factory tour itself was pretty short. We were taken to one of the buildings on the fourth floor from where the assembly line was visible. The tour guide explained a few processes on a very high level. I was expecting it to be more of a “factory” tour rather than just a gallery to view the assembly line.Future of flight also has a kids area for kids to play and learn about some physics principles.
Yashodeep P — Google review
Great for kids and adults alike! If you love planes, you will love this experience. I went during the pandemic, so missed the factory tour. Can't wait to go back!
Ishan S — Google review
The gallery was ok, but nothing spectacular. The cafe was closed which was unfortunate since we didn't get anything to eat before hand. They have vending machines, but nothing lunch worthy. The sundeck had a nice view of the airport, but no jets were flying that afternoon. The tour was ok, but I wish that we could have seen more than just the final assembly. The paint facility would have been cool to see.

Was very excited to hear that tours were back! Took a friend visiting from California on the 10:30 tour. Christopher was our great storyteller guide. I've done the tour in the past many years ago on weekends, so it was interesting to see it during the weekday. You can't bring any phones or cameras on the tour. They have free lockers to stow your purses, backpacks, phones, or food. I bought my ticket ahead online the day before we visited.

Pretty cool on the inside but it's a very short visit, seeing enough but not really. Outside area and the museum are very interesting . Make sure you listen to the history and the explanation of how it all works
Anna H — Google review
Interesting tour but doesn’t get you on the ground floor and up close to the operations to better experience the equipment, parts, processes and aircraft. All observations are from the transport bus or observation decks high above the workplace. Glad I saw it but somewhat disappointed in the distant viewing. Entrance fee a bit pricey for the overall experience. Tour guide and other staff were great!
Bill — Google review
The place is nice overall, the exhibition is nice and that's it, there aren't too many things on display. The observation deck is impressive providing a breathtaking view of the airport and the mountain ranges surrounding the area. The tour is fine and nothing more, we were disappointed by the tour and expected much more. The tour is Including a view of the factory from two high points (observation balconies inside the factory overlooking the 2 parts of the factory) but there is no walking in the factory and there is no watching at what happens in the assembly process up close. It does not provide the feeling one expects from a tour of the Boeing assembly factory.I would like to point out that it is forbidden to take pictures during the tour.
Ravid F — Google review
Amazing place which should be a must visit to appreciate the engineering and scale it takes to produce a commercial plane.Definitely book in advance for the tour.
Roopak — Google review
Boeing's Future of Flight blew me away! The exhibits were cool, explaining how Boeing makes dreams take flight. But the Everett Factory Tour? That was the real deal. Seeing the world's biggest building and those massive 777s under construction? Mind. Officially. Blown. The only downside? The tour felt a bit short. Like missing out on the in-flight movie on a long haul. With so much to see, I would've loved to delve deeper. Maybe extended tours, or areas to watch specific parts of the assembly process, would be amazing.Overall, though, Boeing's Future of Flight is a total win for aviation enthusiasts. It's like Willy Wonka's factory, but for airplanes! Just be prepared to be amazed, and maybe a little bummed when the tour ends (like when they take away your airplane pillow).

Arrived in Seattle after a very prolonged journey from Australia thanks to the IT Glitch. On trying to book a tour found it was all booked out . With only one day to spare I contacted management desperate to see if they could accommodate us on a tour. No problem. My husband was so happy. An incredible experience and we feel so fortunate to have visited. Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of a visit on very very short notice. A highlight of our trip.

Yeah, it's OK. Usual USA marketing hype with not a lot of substance to back it up. Pleasant enough with friendly helpful people. But you pay to see a lot of models, mock up's and posted pictures with a word salad.

You really won’t be able to finish a whole day of journey. You can come back within 7 days. The ticket for another visit is only 10 yuan. A 2-day itinerary is recommended.

Super cool to see the 777X. Big airplane and manufacturing guy, so I loved this visit. Only $12. Very cool place to shop for model planes and Boeing merch ✈️I loved the simple food and my coffee was nice. Very nice people too.

It was a good tour; could have been better. Although I understand that there are data privacy concerns and that’s why everything is viewable from a distance. I was hoping for more walk around experience rather than just sitting in a bus or watching from a balcony. Still a great place to take your children and let them enjoy the sheer size of the facility.

Was lucky enough to get tickets for this tour that I’d wanted to do for ages!If you’re a AV geek this place is a must & even if you’re not it’s still very interesting. Our guide was great & very informative & the whole tour is very well put together & the whole scale of this place is massive.Book in advance as you can’t just rock up & the whole tour takes about 1 hour 30 minutes I’d say & then you get to walk around the awesome merchandise shop & exhibits & if you purchase the access the viewing gallery too, we got lucky as there was a Dreamlifter there & we saw it departing too

The USS Turner Joy, a naval destroyer that served in the Pacific and is now a museum open to the public, offers a self-guided tour for visitors to explore. The tour allows ample time for individuals to discover the vessel's intricate engineering and learn about its historical significance. The museum showcases the sacrifices made by military forces in defending freedom while highlighting the sobering reality of life on board.
Great experience, you can easily spend 2-3 hours on the self guided tour. Staff that we saw were very informative and gave us great insight into other aspects of ship life. 10/10

This museum is pretty cool! So wonderful to explore the ship and get to see what it looks like. I love the fact it is right next to the Water taxi dock. The gift shop is cute. Looks at hats and t-shirt options. The entry fee seems pretty reasonable. Note, any charge via cc there will be a fee. Is better to be paying with cash. They do offer a discount for seniors and youth. The ship is 418 feet and she retired in November of 1982. I think is worth the money to tour this one.
Kimberly P — Google review
This ship is incredible! I'm sure it only begins to shed light on what it would be like to have been a sailor on board, but it was a total eye opener for me. I have so much respect for those who served and lived aboard this ship. It's huge, kind of a maze, which only added to the experience! There's so much to explore and interact with. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to see it all.

We had a great experience here. There was very few people there, which made it comfortable moving about tight quarters without getting into peoples' space. The volunteers were so kind and encouraged us to ask questions. There were bottles of hand sanitizer scattered throughout. There were also bathrooms onboard, which was great. The air is dry and musky, so if you're prone to nosebleeds, bring tissues, and bring a jacket as it is cooler below deck. Great experience!

Great site seeing opportunity for the family. We enjoyed the self guided tour with the provided map. I'd definitely watch the stair/ladders because they're a little steep. Recommend the visit if you're in the area.

Great experience. Little difficult for young kids and elderly with the ladders going to each level of the ship. It’s an amazing attraction and the staff are very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Amazing! Tour is self guided although there are some very knowledgeable veterans on the ship to help guide you and give you information. Lots of stairs so be aware in advance

What a cool experience! This destroyer has some neat history tied to the US involvement in the Vietnam War, and it's well worth a visit! You get a self-guided tour of nearly the whole ship with signs explaining much of what you are seeing and experiencing. Do know this is not a quick stop, and to get the most out of the visit, you will need to be able to climb up and down narrow ladders and stairs. On the day we visited, we were a former crew member volunteering in the galley, answering questions, and talking about his experience on the ship - Doug was great! The POW section with its stories was an appreciated addition, and I found it fascinating. It can get pretty spendy for the whole family but one thing is that your tickets are good for the whole day. So we did half of the ship and then left and got lunch and then came back and finished. That was a great way to do it, and it kept the kids from being overdone.Highly recommend, especially if you are interested in US History, the US Navy, and/or the Vietnam War.

There is so much history floating in the marina it’s impossible to absorb it all at one time.I was visiting Seattle when I came across a small footnote about the USS Turner Joy and I knew I wanted to visit. It required an amazing hour long ferry ride in each direction but it was totally worth the effort. It was incredible how much of the ship was open and available to the public. The self guided tour was so informative and interesting. I found it fun to go up and down the ladders to the various decks, to learn about the different stations and roles on the ship. I’m sure it was a different experience for the men serving on the ship but it was a lot of fun to learn the history in such a unique way.

Love it! You can really explore, and they made improvements to help the experience. The exhibit on the prisoners' experience in Vietnam is very interesting. There is parking nearby. We parked in the multi-story lot. There is also a small shack on the dock with snacks if you are hungry.

Took a tour of the USS Turner Joy this afternoon, and what a delight. My father served in the air force and has gotten to tour a few navy ships, but nothing like the Turner Joy! He was completely enthralled, and the docents were excellent about explaining the functions of the ship.It was a huge ship, so definitely plan to take your time, but it was so interesting to see a ship this big. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in town!

Great experience! I'll be taking my family here when they come visit. Friendly staff and I love that it's self guided. It's really cool that you can go down the ladders to different areas of the ship. I love loved it!

Tickets for adults - $18. It was truly a new experience for me to step inside a ship that had been through the Vietnam War and been to Russia as well. The rustic smell inside can be uncomfortable but the history was amazing to learn about. The bunk beds were small and I still cannot believe the max occupancy of this ship is 275!Highly recommend for explorers out there!

If you're a Naval history buff this is probably fascinating. But as a civilian without a particular interest, I found it disappointing. Though there is information posted throughout the ship about things like semaphore and machinery, they're pretty dry. Something like a through line describing the daily life of a crewman or an officer would be a lot more fun for the average visitor. Also, in order to reach most ship levels it's necessary to go up very steep stair/ladders, and there are no alternatives, so it's definitely not accessible for those with mobility issues. For the price ($18 per ticket for adults) it's not well curated or in great shape, unfortunately.
Thorn M — Google review
Self guided tours or with volunteer guides. The placards explain the different equipment, so for people unfamiliar with themachinery can understandthe uses.As a retired Navy man of 25 years, mostly on destroyers (tin cans), memories came flooding back.Be aware that with traversing the ship, steep ladders are throughout. For those of us who may have mobility issues, would find it difficult to get around the ship. You can make the ship's horn blast, by pulling the rope on the bridge (wheel house).Official announcementsare made over the ship's speaker system (1-MC).The announcements are the same as when the ship was active! It was amazing to me to hear, "Sweepers, sweepers man your brooms, give the ship a clean sweep down fore & aft...".The gift shop is very well stocked, with reasonable prices. A wide range of items and prices, so that no matter the budget you'll walk away with a souvenirfrom the Turner Joy (DD-951).I was aboard the USS Black (DD-666), after the attack on the USS Maddox & USS Turner Joy, the Black was their relief in the Tonkin Gulf.Fair Winds and Following Seas, Your Shipmate.

Wife and I spent a little over an hour here whilst vacationing in the Tacoma-area. Did not get to see all the rooms available to the public, but got through most of it. It is a very well done museum with lots of nice nuanced touches. Had two different docents who were knowledgeable and friendly. The ladders/stairs take a little getting used to, but they were not too hard to utilize.

TL;DR If you're a history nerd or a naval nerd, check it out. This is a self guided tour of the Naval Destroyer class ship, USS Turner Joy. The tour can go as long or as short as you want, but I took about 1.5 - 2 hours to get through the whole thing, and I took my time. The ship itself has an incredible amount of history that is laid out well within each station. It is not friendly to anyone with mobility issues if you plan to explore anything beyond the main deck level. Additionally, there are no water fountains, and only one bathroom onboard, so go before you embark. Internally, there are a lot of unique things in this ship, like how it was both the first and last ship to engage enemies in Vietnam, and lots more that you'll learn as you wander the internal labyrinth packed with information. The USS Turner Joy is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

This was the first time I've been on a Naval ship. I had no idea what to expect. The gift shop attendants where we purchased tickets from at 4:15 didn't say a word to us when we walked in. They just stared as if they were making sure our kids didn't pocket something from the shelves. My family explored using the self guided tour. We were told the ship closes at 5. We watched a video on the galley that finished at 4:50. As we continued our tour, we noticed most of the lights were off and many of the doors were closed at 4:52. An employee saw us and told us to move along this way as he pushed us to the exit. At 4:59 we were off the boat and the gift shop was locked. We had to figure out how to exit, as all exit signs pointed to the gift shop. Paying almost $80 with only 45 minutes to explore, we wanted to use all our time. They should not have closed early and rushed us out.Cool ship, unfriendly employees. Worth the price, if you have 2 hours of time. They close earlier than posted.

It was fascinating seeing this piece of history. There were a lot of up and downs tiny steep ladders, wouldn't recommend for anyone claustrophobic. I liked how they described the different roles everyone played and all the rooms.

Visitors can also find Gateway Shopping Center nearby, which features major retailers and easy access from the I-5 highway.
Great deals! Awesome shopping experience!Edit- those who want to go via public transportation need to catch a bus from Bellevue transit center bay-4.I recommend checking google for more details before planning. the bus takes around 2-3 hours depending on traffic. with a car, it's 35 - 45 minutes. However, I would suggest taking a cab.

A lot of people from BC to shop here and bring back to Canada to save on taxes and have more options. The is the strength of the US.Many shops and pretty much what you need is here. Weekday afternoon, many shops is close for lunch for 30-60 minutes. Be aware of this so you don’t feel bad when the door is locked.

Nice and clean outlet mall with great selection. Expensive compared to east coast outlets. Partially covered for rainy days. Easy to use map locators near the entrances.

Great place to shop but crowded. Long queues in certain stores. Food court needs more variety and good customer service as people travel from far to come here

The outlet is large and has many brands.Even though there are plenty of parking spaces, they are full on weekends. I spent 0.5 hours walking around and finally found a parking spot! In this case, I would suggest parking your car on the 2nd floor of the parking building, which is near the Levis store.

This is a great place to shop, especially during the holidays. It's best for clothing and shoes. It's also a great place for kids, plenty of food locations and spots to play. There is a parking lot and garage. Although it can be crowded on weekends, it always seems to have parking. Fun place to visit!

Today, my mother visited this store and had an unfortunate encounter with a sales associate. My mother, who doesn’t speak English fluently, was using Google Translate to ask for the price of an item. She had to ask twice, and instead of helping her, a white saleswoman became rude and condescending. She raised her voice and treated my mother with clear disdain. Such behavior is not only disrespectful but also reeks of racial prejudice. I strongly urge others to avoid this place based on this unacceptable treatment.

Fun and inexpensive mall, has tons of discounted stores! And great brands as well . Parking lot is humongous but still gets very very packed and parking can be hard to find, especially on the weekends. Very clean atmosphere, tons of bathrooms, drinking fountains and water bottle refill stations. They also have some fun quarter machine rides for kiddos, as well as you can rent stroller car things. I wish they had more food options though, there's about 4-5 in the food court to choose from like Subway. I recommend getting off the 116th exit because the other exit gets extremely backed up. Beautiful holiday decorations.

There were less people in the morning, but there are many people and hard to find parking in the afternoon. Pro tip: come early. Not many options in food court, but food is good. Some of the shops do have great discount, like Crocs, Kiplin, etc

The only plus size store is Lane Bryant and the selection wasn’t the greatest when I went. Lots of plus sized ladies walking around without shopping bags! I’m not taking my family there ever again unless this changes.

This place has all the premium brands you love! Also there are a lot of places to eat and coffee shops plus a proper designated food court. But it's real task to find vacant parking spots here and it is worst on the weekends.Public restrooms are super dirty here though, wouldn't really suggest you using them unless it's an emergency.

Every time our family goes to this outlet, I limit my children to $100 each. It always seems we go over budget. There are some good deals provided you stick to what you have preplanned to buy otherwise you end up buying things you do not really need. Overall, it's a fun experience once a year especially at back to school time.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the current state of the Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip. There just seemed to be a lot less shoppers in general. The Burberry store, for example, limited the number of people that could go inside, even though there were only seven customers in total when we visited the shop. When I used to come here more than 10 years ago, the entire outlets were bustling with people, and every single shop was packed. Where do all of the enthusiastic patrons go nowadays?

Shadow of it's former glory.Prices aren't great, some are painfully high for an 'outlet' mall.Store selection has Deminished too. It's just not the destination it used to be. This mall is simply coasting on its past and lease gouging the retailers. You used to be able to empty your wallet on deals in every store. Now just go to Levi's... They'll empty it for you... There is a reason Levi doesn't price anything in the store anymore. Because they are embarrassed at their own prices.

Best place for shopping. There are great variety of stores, few have great deals & clearance sales. I didn't like the food court that much, it gets very crowded and barely hard to find clean place to sit & eat. However, I had a great shopping experience. I highly recommend to visit this place.

But we can’t compare it with Portland outlet as no tax there. Parking is spacious but you need to come early to ensure a slot. Foods , they have food court and other small shops and food is okay.

The place is good, but I had a really disappointing moment there. I shopped for a few things, went to the restroom, and put my bag on the sink. Within a fraction of a second, my bag, which had five pieces of clothing, was stolen. I don't know how security works there. People who reads review kindly be safe with your stuff .22/06/2024

The mall was very nice to be at,they got restaurants in the same vicinity,a McDonald’s too. Can’t say so much for the people who I came across the time I was there. Rude, inconsiderate, love to shoulder check you,I’m surprised there ain’t been no fights bout that. The food court was pretty good. Got chicken fried noodles before I left. Did more window shopping and did grab a few items on the way out🙂↕️overall, great place to be at put the a negative for the fellow customers that day🤷🏾♀️🤣

Seattle Premium Outlets is my favorite place to shop in Tulalip. As a well known member of Tulalip Casino. I have come here on many occasions with my family and Daughters to shop here. This is one of the best places for that in the State of Washington. I have bought at stores like Nike, True Religion & Zumiez. Every store in Seattle Premium Outlets is worth Visiting. I highly recommend this place for all Families. Thank you for the Memories and and Bless the Tulalip Reservation!

Fort Worden Historical State Park, a former military base located on the Puget Sound shoreline, has been transformed into a 360-acre state park offering various attractions and activities. The park features restored wooden buildings that now serve different purposes, including a conference center and rentable houses. Visitors can explore the park's interesting history, with opportunities to tour the Commanding Officers Quarters and visit the Puget Sound Coast Artillery Museum.
It was a nice treat for us to come upon this place on our journey to the Olympic National Park. We loved the Commander's home museum. The artillery museum was closed. It was fun to drive around the property to look at all the buildings. The views are beautiful. Deer roam around on the lawns, munching tender grass. We found a picnic table with an amazing view to have lunch. There is also beach access via a lingerie flight of stairs.

We have tried to get into this park for years with no luck. Was really happy to find a spot there for our Valentine's Day celebration and it did not disappoint! Incredible views from the high points. Excellent hiking/biking trails. This park is very large and I think a person could spend a week here and not see it all! Restrooms were very well kept.On the downside - the signage for the campground to lead you to your RV spot is absolutely inadequate. The water was turned off for winter and the sign explaining where to the fill spigot was on a sandwich board and had been placed beyond the spigot, after you already drive by the spigot. There is not a campground entrance sign at all, so the end of our trip there consisted of about an extra 20 minutes of confusion and driving around that could have been alleviated with a good set of signs. The leash law is strictly enforced, even for our aged dachshund, who gets around slowly and could not create an issue when if he had the heart to. He also is sans teeth! In any case, we loved the park and would love to return if we can ever find a reservation again. Would be a great place for day hikes also!

Such a beautiful park with a tranquil feel. A great day trip or you can multi day with the campground. We have ridden our bikes through here a handful of times now. This past visit I saw all ages doing activities including beach combing, kayaking, hiking, camping, and general sightseeing. So much to see here and even seasonal restaurants. There are numerous vistas above the beaches with glorious views. Each time I see some form of sea life and many birds. I appreciate the well tended public restrooms and picnic tables. Dress in layers and bring a beach blanket. Binoculars would be helpful for watching sea life and birds. Discover Pass is required for the park areas.

Beautiful place, great trails! Make sure you are paying attention to where you walk out towards the beach, there are corded off areas and we seen several people just wandering through the seagrass. As long as you respect the park, pack out what you pack in, it's a great place to spend the day!

Fort Worden state park is definitely one of mine and my families happy places . Every stay we have had here has never disappointed. Large sites , clean , breath taking scenery, it is truly a gem. We are big into WW2 bunker explorations and this will keep you active and engaged for hours. Port Townsend has many lovely local shops and eateries , you can easily spend several days here and not get bored .

Very good park. (Discovery Pass or fee required.) Well-maintained facilities, accessible parking. Popular for beach activities, swimming, kayaking, paddle boards, walking, picnics, walking pets (on leashes), bird watching, sightseeing, etc. Other non-beach activities include historical displays, walking, playing bagpipes in a field (I saw it!), etc.

I want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU for making Sean & Kaitlyn's wedding the very special day they were dreaming of! From Check in to check out it was a wonderful experience.Jason at housing check in was so helpful, attentive, & made our stay seamless. Staying in the Colonel housing so close together truly enhanced our event and the historic properties added to the ambiance.Erin, our wedding coordinator, was AMAZING! She made sure that the event was flawless! She and her team were extremely professional, attentive and on top of every detail. Erin made herself available to answer every question from start to finish. She handled any concerns and personally made sure that the event was perfect. We felt 100 percent taken care of because of her personal interactions. She is a huge asset to the Fort Worden Hospitality team!Catering did a fabulous job. The food was all amazing from the appetizers to the main course. The presentation was gorgeous and every bite was delicious. Our guests were raving! Fort Worden Historical State Park is a captivating blend of natural beauty and rich history. Nestled on the shores of Puget Sound, the park offers stunning views, serene beaches, and well-maintained trails. The historic military buildings, including the iconic fort, add a unique charm, making it perfect for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike. The on-site museum and events add depth to the experience. A must-visit for those exploring Washington’s past and natural splendor.

we stopped in Port Gamble. It is a beautiful little town and well worth the visit if you have not been there before. There's a nice little grocery store near the waterfront. At Fort Worden we drove out to Point Wilson Lighthouse and parked. We hiked around the waterfront and then climbed up the hill to some of the World War II batteries. We had a good drive back home, again taking the ferry. It was dark by the time we got on the ferry. Even though it was winter, our little Chevy Bolt made it all the way to Port Townsend and back on one charge.

This is a fantastic state park. We camped in the lower/beach campground. There's so much to do and explore here: bunkers, beach, aquarium, hiking, biking, museum and more. The park is clean and beautiful. If you don't want to camp, you can rent houses, or play and explore for the day. Discover Pass required.

This place is amazing! We stayed in our camper. We had electric, water and sewer hook ups that all worked well. No wifi. There is an awesome old defense building that was awesome to explore! Our kids had a blast in there. The old light house is super cool from the outside. We couldn’t tour the inside because it is only open certain days and times. The beach is fun to enjoy and the sunsets from the beach were beautiful. Strong recommend if you have time to check this place out.

Fort Worden is always a treat. So much to see and do. Arts, music, beach walks and forest hikes. Do stop in the museum on the beach by the pier to learn about whales, and the history of the area. There's a lighthouse, too.

Fantastic Historic State Park. An Officer and A Gentleman was filmed here. If from out of town or local, definitely worth a trip. The beaches face both East and North, are sandy and rocky ( not swim beaches), museum, parade grounds, and 3 mile easyish hike to the amazing batteries that were built between 1898 and 1907 but incredibly significant during WW2. You can then explore through miles of dark abandoned hallways and rooms. So much more.If you can rent rent a house from Officer's Row, stay in town or camp (though reservations are required and book out way before)

We just hung out on the beach but it was a fun place to explore. It was pretty chilly already at the beginning of October. Not a lot of people.

Could easily spend the day here with our kids. Wish we brought a picnic! Bring good quality flashlights to explore, cell phone lights won't do. The kids were wowed by the different batteries, we explored quite a bit. There are a couple tricky ladders, be careful. The wildlife spaces are great ... Deer pop up, trees are beautiful, wonderful place. Dogs have to be on leash. There's the occasional restroom (see map picture). Lots of places to picnic. Saw some picnic benches.

Fun place to take kids too or be a kid and wonder the bunkers, walk along beach. If the tide out you can walk from the park to Fort Worden. Make sure you have energy to wonder through the bunkers that are all over the place.

There's a certain energy about this place...a certain calm if you will about the fort and the building's around. It's fun to experience, but on a deeper level....it makes you think of those of past. The museum was a fun experience for sure, the people there are very knowledgeable and looking for those who are interested in learning more about the sea life around. Nature & Parks
Deception Pass State Park covers 4,134 acres of ancient forest and features saltwater shores, freshwater lakes, camping facilities, and an extensive 38-mile trail system. Visitors can join a guided tour near the park to paddle to nearby coves and observe abundant wildlife such as birds, seals, and porpoises. The area experiences strong tidal currents and changing sea conditions due to wind and tide direction.
Deception Pass is by far one of my all time favorite destinations. Whether it be visiting the beach, exploring hiking trails, or just enjoying the breathtaking views, you can't ever grow tired of it. Its a one of a kind and perfect spot for photographers to snap some crazy cool photos. A great place to visit with family and friends and an even better place to go when you just need to escape everything and everyone. Im so grateful and lucky I have the privilege to live in a place like this.

Wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the diverse flora and fauna. Whether you're camping, hiking, or just relaxing, this park delivers an unforgettable experience. Perfect for nature lovers!

Amazing views around every turn. There is something for everyone here. Rosario Beach for tidepooling also has a great, protected cove with shallow water for the littles, plus a short hiking trail to an amazing viewpoint (one suggestion is to go on a weekday if you can as the parking lot is small). West beach on the south side of the pass is amazing for sunset views, swimming, and climbing on driftwood. Walking across the bridge is awesome and we even spotted a seal in the water below us. There are so many other spots in the park to check out including an awesome campground, Bowman Bay, and North Beach. I could spend weeks here!

Deception Pass State Park is a fantastic place to visit. It has beautiful views of cliffs, forests, and the famous Deception Pass Bridge. There are lots of things to do, like hiking, camping, and boating. The trails are easy to follow and great for all skill levels, leading to lovely beaches and amazing views. You can also see interesting marine life and birds. The park is well-kept, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Whether you want to relax or have an adventure, Deception Pass State Park is a wonderful spot to enjoy nature in Washington.

Great place to go if you're not afraid of heights. Since the bridge has been repaired The walking area across the bridges now has unobstructed views. They restored it back to the original height of the railing and no more jump panels on the railings. Multiple trails on either side of the bridge to take down to the beach or other scenic points. The beaches are great place to just hang out and if you're into it, rock hounding is very easy as there is an abundance of different stones and minerals we found. Do not enter the water too close as the current going through here is extremely strong. It'll create whirlpools under the bridge, which you can see if you're willing to lean over the railings.

I loved camping here. Between the beautiful Puget Sound, the hiking trails, and the bonus of seeing otters playing in the surf, it was a lovely four days. Cranberry Lake is also perfect for paddle boarding and fishing and such. Something to be aware of is that the fighter jets from the air base fly over quite a bit. For me, I truly enjoy that. If you want to be somewhere quiet and just be out with nature, you should probably look elsewhere.

Very nice state park. It gets very busy at times but so much to see from shoreline to forest trails to lake. Not sure why they lock up all the restrooms everywhere. What is my pass paying for if not for maintenance of things.

We have always loved coming here. It’s a great family friendly experience plus couples getaway. The campground gets fully booked every year so plan in advance. We planned to stay at the KOA in Anacortes/Burlington. Just 30 minutes north. They have plenty RV spots and cabins, plus an indoor pool. There are so many trails and lots of beaches to explore. You can even fish for Salmon off the beach. Check the WA fishing regulations. Not to mention Cranberry Lake that is located just outside the campground. It is a full service lake with canoe rentals and refreshments in the peak summer season. It tends to get colder there cause of the temperate rain forest so dress in layers. The sun comes out hot in the later afternoon.

The bridge was cool to spend some time at, and had convenient stairs going under so you don't have to cross the highway. Really neat place to check out, and low daily fees ($10) Well worth the money with so much to see. Short walk down to the water, and small merchandise stand.

One of the best parks in WA. It’s great for day trips as well as camping. The side by the bridge is amazing as you can see seals and if lucky whales. Lots of hiking, great views and places to take pictures. On the southwest side is a lot different was the water is calmer, it’s quieter and more peaceful. Highly recommend.

Incredible to watch the flow of the tide. Found some Eddie's. You need a discover pass. Stopped at the south end of the bridge and took a few different trails. One brought us to a beautiful beach. The other brought us to an amazing cliff experience.

Breathtaking! Me and my boyfriend has a lovely lunch stop here on our way back to Seattle. We found a little trail from the bridge that led us to a spot with a view of the distant mountains. We could see tons of deals coming up for air and playing in the water. We also saw 2 bald eagles. It was a magical place.

I have visited Deception Pass many times over the years, and it remains my favorite destination for reconnecting with nature and finding tranquility. The breathtaking views, whether from the iconic bridge or the serene beaches below, never cease to amaze me! Deception Pass offers everything you need for an amazing day. You can go camping, enjoy a picnic by the sea, or simply marvel at the stunning view from the bridge. For those planning a visit, it’s worth noting that there is barely any phone reception in the area, so plan accordingly. This, however, only adds to the park’s charm, allowing you to fully disconnect and immerse yourself in the natural beauty.Lastly, If you need a discover pass, you can purchase it online before you get there.

Deception Pass State Park is a stunning destination that spans a strait and a few islands. Come here for incredible views of Skagit Bay and the Salish Sea from the Canoe Pass Bridge. At Rosario Head, make sure to stop by the tide pools to see colorful birds and an array of marine life. If you're looking for a place to stay, camping by Bowman Bay is an excellent option. You can even enjoy a cozy bonfire at night. In the morning, go for a hike on the park's scenic trails along deep-blue lakes and amid the lush forest.

The park features four sets of waterfalls, well-maintained walking trails, and various amenities such as picnic areas, playgrounds, tennis courts, and a fishing pond. Visitors can enjoy activities like hiking and biking along the trails or simply relax by the waterfalls.
Amazing and cute little park! The falls are beautiful, with the amenities of a small city park (playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, bathrooms, off-leash dog areas, etc.) but with trails that feel like you're out in the middle of the woods. Waterfalls and small creek are very charming. The pools made by the dams are picturesque. Love that the waterfalls and stone bridge is so close to the parking lot.

Are you a nature person? Do you want some place that helps you get back into nature? Looking for a place to walk or swim in the bigger pools on the river. There are large trees and a beautiful waterfall. This place is stunning on any of its various paths. Take a second to breathe the air and take in its beauty. This place inspires a calm mind and radiates impressiveness of its forest, rivers, babbling brooks and waterfalls. There are little stones with paintings in them scattered all over the area.

Whatcom falls, Bellingham, Washington. 90 miles (145 kilometers) south of Vancouver, Canada and90 miles north of Seattle.I visited Whatcom Falls Park recently, and while the park itself is beautiful, the falls were a bit underwhelming during my visit. The flow was low, making the falls appear less dramatic than I had hoped. However, the Brick Bridge and the surrounding parkland were still charming and made for a pleasant outing. The trails and the overall scenery provide a relaxing experience, even if the falls aren't at their most impressive. The Brick Bridge at Whatcom Falls Park is a historic structure that spans Whatcom Creek near the waterfall and was build in 1929. It provides a picturesque vantage point for viewing the falls and is a popular spot for photography and leisurely walks.

What a hidden gem this place was. I wish we had carved out more time to hangout and enjoy the water and hike a little more. There was a water pond area that a family was jumping off rocks in and we found a nice spot shallow enough for the toddlers. The bridge is something out of a history book. I'm obsessed. Will definitely be back when in the Bellingham area.

Beautiful place for a more challenging walk/hike. Most of the trails were pretty narrow and a little muddy(we went in December). A few of them required a more adventurous disposition than I had that day and I didn't wear the best shoes. I have been told that the falls are much more full rapid flowing if you visit in the spring when the mountain snow melt flows down. I think it's fantastic any time of year. Visited December 2018

Castle Fun Park is an amusement park located in Abbotsford, offering a wide range of family-friendly activities. The castle-like park features both indoor and outdoor facilities, including go-karting, bumper cars, mini golf, batting cages, and a large arcade with over 200 games. This place is awesome. I'm so glad they fixed mini golf went here for my birthday and it was really fun! They are also amazing at helping when something goes wrong. The white ball didn't come out when we went to play pool, and we got a new one right away!

The new indoor mini golf course is great. It is very well done and much better than the previous courses. Couple small complaints - cost was $18 a round and it isn't clear that you need to load a card to pay for your round. Staff member didn't seem too interested in being there. Still, I recommend Castle Fun Park if you want a place to play mini golf.

It's definitely aged since before covid. I feel they had a good opportunity to renovate and give the place a good refresh. A lot of games are outdated. A lot of games not working. Many of the 4 player ones have one game out so a family of 4 cannot play together. The belts on some games have duct tape holding it together. Some games take your money.Staff is great. Helped transfer funds from a lost card. Good thing we had our receipt! So make sure you always get a receipt and keep it in case you lose a card. The staff check and will transfer the funds and tickets to a new card.Golf is still out. 2 out of 3 mini golf is out. Kids have fun but this place has so much potential to do better and stay up to date.Washrooms are clean with changing station options. Lots of free parking.

Decent place to do some fun things with kids and family. There are lots of arcade games and golfing, but the main attraction was go karting. I did see a lot of the arcade machines broken. Along the highway, so you can't miss it. Prices are reasonable for games, but ticket redemption is ridiculous. The food/snacks in the cafe are trash. I ordered nachos and popcorn, and nachos were bagged chips and cheese cups. Popcorn was stale and almost chewy. Prices are high, too, for bagged stuff. Recommend this place to spend few hours playing games and go karting.

One of choice to bring kids to try Kart car here. A lot game machines here. First time to bring kids here, they love to Kart car, there is age restriction here. My son is not 10 years old, I have to accompany with him, I am driver , he sit beside me. Driving Kart is so good. I will bring he to try once he reach 10. My daughter experiences the driving by herself. She loves it. Will recommend this place to my friends.

I visited with my family on a Friday afternoon. The place is big enough, and most of the machines were working fine. It's ideal for a 8yo. We spent about 3 and a half hours and still couldn't play all the games.I just wished they had lockers to store the jackets for a while.

It's a fun day out with the kids! Not cheap if you play mini golf or ride the carts, it adds up but what a treat... Hand sanitizer stations everywhere, which was appreciated, given everyone touches everything, everywhere 😝Especially great if your play day falls on a rainy day - mostly indoors!

I had so much fun here with my fiancé. The mini golf was a blast. Definitely recommend. Next time we go back we want to do the go karting. We love this place.

The new underwater golf was great. Very well done and brighter lol. Lots to see and enjoy. Not much info on the plans for the rest of it. Miss the other 2 golf adventures and hope one day they too will return. Must try again.

Castle Fun Park is the perfect destination for a day of fun and laughter with family or friends! From the moment you walk in, the variety of activities is impressive—mini-golf, arcade games, batting cages, go-karts, and so much more. There’s truly something for everyone, regardless of age.The mini-golf courses are creative and well-maintained, offering different themes and levels of difficulty. The arcade area is packed with classic and modern games, keeping both kids and adults entertained for hours. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth experience. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the attractions. It’s also a great spot for hosting parties or casual hangouts.Whether you’re looking to challenge friends to a game or just enjoy some light-hearted fun, Castle Fun Park is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone in or near Abbotsford.

We had a great time here with our teenaged boys. The staff were kind and courteous. There were a lot of teenagers there on a Friday night so I was worried they’d overrun the place, but it was a great atmosphere! I love bringing my kids here whenever we pass by!

This place is so fun! Gave each one of my kids 20 bucks and we played for a couple hours. Great place to go on a rainy day to burn some energy. The new mini golf is really cool.

We went on a Tuesday night during spring break and hardly had to wait at all. Typical arcade prices but there is a lot more games for all ages and several levels to this place. Best part is there's bowling go karts mini golfing shooting range pool and air hockey on top of all the regular arcade games. We put $50 on each person's card and played everything for about two and a half hours. Only downside is there's literally nothing substantial to eat except for pizza between noon and 5:00 p.m., and you can't bring food with you so feeding a family with children is difficult.

Fantastic place for all ages! Spent my sons birthday here end of March and it was so much for everyone :) so much to do we didn’t get it all done! Will definitely go back again soon! Love how cheap the play cards are too!

Castle Fun Park is exactly what I remember it being as a kid. Now, you could take that in a good way or a bad way. After the devastating flood back in 2021 Castle fun Park worked hard to get their attractions back up and running to come back and serve the community and travelers to be able to provide a fun and interactive experience.Unfortunately, 3 years later, there is only 1 of 3 mini golf open, no batting cages open.In my personal opinion, I think that Castle Fun Park is slightly outdated, budget aside I think they missed the chance to give the park a bit of an update. Most of the games are in working order, some of them take the money and don't work and some are just sitting there unplugged. All in, it's fun but once back up and running to full capacity it will be better as there will be more options.Definitely not a cheap night out. My husband and I spent a few hours there both had a $50 play card and played some golf. Just be cautious with what is up and running.

Visited recently to try the renovated mini golf. I used to come here as a kid and I loved the old themed golf courses in the basement. The new course (just one now) is twice as long now with 18 holes. I really miss the old decor (probably just nostalgia) but the new style is also very good. All the new holes are excellent though. The old courses looked cool but some of the holes were impossible. The new course is just the right amount of challenging and fun. The rest of the arcade is well maintained and it was busy when we were there which was nice to see. Overall a fun experience. I would recommend it.
Thomas M — Google review
Even better than I remember it! Underwater golf is clean, fun and well laid out. The arcade games upstairs are still cost friendly (ish) and there are lots of new games!
Kathryn S — Google review
Caste Fun Park is probably one of the more value for money recreation places ive visited. Games can go for very cheap - were talking about 25c per play so your monies can give you a couple of hours here if you choose the right games. The castle grounds lools work but well taken care of and the washrooms are surprisingly clean given the traffic of families going about. That being said, a lot of the games are dated so you might not be able to see the more current games. Added points for go kart and indoor golfing.

Castle Fun Park is not just a place for kids! It’s a cute hang out spot!Things you can do other than arcade games: go kart outside, indoor bowling, target shooting, bumper cars, mini golf, laser room and many more. I loaded $50 and i personally felt like it was too little for me with the amount of activities. 2-4 hours is ample time to go around and try many activities.

Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford offers a delightful array of entertainment options, but my recent visit was particularly memorable thanks to their "Dive into a 'hole' new world" mini-golf experience. Nestled underground, this underwater-themed course truly transports players to an aquatic wonderland. The course itself is not only visually appealing but also well-designed, providing a satisfying challenge for players of all skill levels. One of the highlights of the experience is the opportunity to earn a free game by successfully navigating the ball between the teeth of a sea monster on the last hole. I was fortunate enough to accomplish this feat, which only adds to the allure of returning for another visit.Of course, Castle Fun Park offers more than just mini-golf. During my previous visit, I indulged in some arcade games, but the park also boasts attractions such as go-karts, bowling, and even a laser maze. Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford is the perfect destination for a day of excitement and entertainment. Whether you're seeking refuge from the rain or simply looking for a good time, this establishment has you covered. With its diverse range of activities and welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder that I'm already planning my next visit. After all, who can resist the allure of a free round of golf?

Disappointing at how old and expensive this place is! The only reasonable thing to do was the GO Kart, which only opens at 5:00pm on weekdays! We came at 12:00 PM and had to leave and come back because their website didn’t mention GO Kart is not available.

Lots of fun here, 2 story building with arcade machines. An underground minigolf course, karts race track, indoor golf range, bowling, bumping cars, and snack bar (limited food only: pizza, popcorn, soft drinks and candies). If you come expecting eat here you will be disappointed. Eat first or after. Consider a lot of fun so at least 2 hours. Get a card, load it with credits and have fun!

Washington Park, located at the western end of Fidalgo Island, is a stunning 220-acre city park offering a range of outdoor activities. The park features camping facilities, a boat launch, and day-use picnic sites. Visitors can explore picturesque Sunset Beach with its boat launch and children's playground area or head to Green Point for hiking trails that offer breathtaking views of Burrows Bay, the San Juan Islands, and the Olympic Mountain range.
Love this place! We stayed for 3 nights while our ferry to Alaska was delayed. We had quite a bit of snow one night but they were very quick to remove it and make the road safe.

Beautiful trail! Some parts along the edge are not so wide and can be a bit slippery. There's the option to walk on the paved one way road. Not a lot of people. Amazing spots along the way to view the ocean but most of the hike is through dense vegetation. Parking, restrooms and picnic areas down at the park available.

Love the campground and spacious park! Online reservations for camping are limited to 2 weeks in advance which is restricting but it's easy to work around once this is known. They do have a phone number to call that provides updates on how many sites are open which is nice. See wildlife every time I visit, mostly deer, squirrels and different kinds of birds. The park is pretty big and offers all kinds of activities and options.

Great park for sunset and a little 2 mile hike/ride. Nice spots to hang out along the way.

It is one of the most beautiful parks in Washington. The park has direct access to the beach, and you can see a lot of people launching their boats in the water. Plenty of stuff for everyone, a play area for kids, a lawn to play Frisby, and a picnic area for bbq. This park has ample parking but the parking next to the water is limited. Must visit the park for family and pets.

We really like walking the loop at this nature park. I’ve never camped here, but in nice weather we’ll do a picnic. The views of the Sound are fantastic. The only downside is having to compete for space with cars driving the loop. The paved surface is great for bikes.

Fantastic place to watch the sunset, camp or spend time at the beach. There is a drive around loop so if you're trying to catch the sunset make sure you check the time and leave some room in case there is traffic.
Candice E — Google review
We drove around the loop to kill time and it was fun and had decent views, but it's primarily a pedestrian road. Be extra cautious if you have a quiet electric vehicle so you don't scare walkers!

One of my favorite places when we were local and still one of my favorite places to visit. The tide pools at the middle of the loop are my absolute favorite. The drive is incredible with the fall foliage at its peak.

I haven't been out here since I was little but I was quite disappointed in pretty much everything except the view. There was quite a bit of garbage that my Dad and I walked around, picking up. There was dog doo doo everywhere, including my shoes now. And we were trying to find something to keep my grandkids attention, on the beach but there was no sign of life, unfortunately. So we threw rocks into the water, spun around on a couple things and called it all the fun we could handle. I did get some pics though so they'll be here somewhere.

WA Park is always a go-to spot for me when I'm in Anacortes. I drove here after getting off the ferry to show a friend the beauty and get it a cold swim at the beach next to the boat launch. If you make one stop while driving the loop, make sure it's at the South Bluff. You can also walk to the next two car parking to check out the Havekost Tomb, and read about the history. There is also a loop trail. And a porta potty across the street.

Nature & Parks
Moran State Park is a vast natural area offering various activities for visitors. The park features campgrounds, five picturesque lakes, and numerous hiking trails suitable for all skill levels. One of the easier family-friendly hikes is the three-mile loop around Cascade Lake, which also offers opportunities for swimming and paddleboarding. For more adventurous hikers, there are thrilling cliff jumps at different points along the trail. Additionally, gentle hikes around Mountain Lake and Obstruction Pass provide scenic views and access to tide pools.
One of the best WA state parks that we can do both hiking and kayaking with just walking distance from the campsite. The lake is beautiful and great for swimming and paddle boards. You can take a short jump from the bridge by the lagoon. The ice cream shop by the beach is also a nice touch to cool off summer days. Hard to do everything in one day so need to plan the trip way ahead, but it’s a must visit for Orcas Island.

I really liked State Park camping. My campsite was facing to the lake. Closer to lake shore beach. I did a lot of hiking in the morning then SUP board paddling in the afternoon. 10mins drive to small downtown. Restroom was clean.
Tomoko N — Google review
One of my favorite parks to visit and camp in. Lots of recreation options, with multiple trails of various lengths, waterfalls, lakes, viewing tower on top of Mt. Constitution, and lots of campsites. For a kid-friendly hike, try the Cascade Falls trail or the Mountain Lake trail. Most campsites are spacious with decent privacy, plus lake views from many. My only complaint is the showers; as with nearly every Washington State Park, the money box says 50cents for 3 minutes, but it never actually lasts 3 minutes. The middle campground showers were timed at 2 minutes, 38 seconds. WA Parks needs to adjust their timers or change the wording to make it accurate.

The 2.2 mile hike from Little Summit to the Tower was amazing. Quite the workout and so many beautiful views and sights along the way. Awesome!
Sonja D — Google review
Love this place. Have visited many times and camped several. A variety of hikes both in terms of difficulty and experience. By the latter I mean a short small valley trail, around the lake loop trails, and up the mountain through forest with vistas from thousands of feet up. And a little "castle" too. The last 3 night trip I got in two hikes. paddled my yak and swam in 2 different awesome little lakes. At night, a 10 min walk to the lake shore to view the moonlight on the lake. Winner. Also, the dork in me loves the rare firewood vending machine. Great to help the effort of not transporting firewood between eco systems and just cool at the use of tech. Yes, I feed it my credit card and a bundle of wood comes rolling down the shoot.Campsites are a little small and can be kind of close together though it varies across the 3 campgrounds. You have to ask yourself if you are there for remotness and privacy (no) or easy access / close probity to one of the lakes. 4 sure. bathrooms were clean and stocked.
C ( — Google review
Outstanding campground. Calm place with high and big trees. Enjoyable hike to waterfalls and around lake. Warm water in a lake, kids enjoyed several days of sweeming. Booking a bit tough and should be done upfront especially ferry reservation is tough and their site usually keeps failing with slow performance.

Great place to relax, hike, rent a kayak, canoe or rowboat at Cascade Lake. Stunning view to the east from the top of Mount Constitution. Views here from Cascade Lake and South trail on Turtleback Mountain (not part of park).

Such beautiful trails for walking, running, riding. Most are heavily shaded, so well suited for summer. We were delighted to see no trash on the 15 miles we walked. Walking among trees >100 years old puts your life issues in a bit of perspective.Trails are well marked and of varying ability level. The various falls are close enough together to take them in on a single hike. None are tall; all have their charm. The lakes are marvelously clear and inviting. The view on top is panoramic. The location offers plenty of rocks and a few picnic benches for lunch or snacks.

The Greater Vancouver Zoo, sprawling across 120 acres, is a long-standing establishment that houses a diverse array of wildlife, with approximately 140 species in its care. Many of the animals have been rescued, donated, or orphaned. Visitors can encounter an impressive range of creatures such as lions, flamingos, cheetahs, grizzly bears, and hippos.
My family and I had such a great time. It rained, so it was nice and cool, having many animals out. There is a cute little train that you can take around the park. One of the best priced things you can go and enjoy with the family. They have different talks about different animals threw out the day, letting you learn cool facts and ask questions.

10km of fun. I highly recommend to buy the tickets online to avoid lines, and start with the train, walking after seeing all around. The talks about the animals are awesome and we can see the instructors feeding them. Clean, safe, beautiful and big zoo. Must to go.

We visited the zoo on a Sunday. It wasn’t that busy but since there was a heatwave, most of the animals were in their lairs so we couldn’t see much. We were able to finish everything within 2 hours and were lucky enough to see a feeding session for the Cheetahs in the zoo. The employee Brandon was very kind enough let us watch the feeding session for the Cheetahs and learned a lot about the 4 males in the cage. We really enjoyed our time in the zoo. They have bicycles and golf carts for the visitors use if you don’t want walk and they have a playground for kids. Couple of shops were there for you to purchase any snacks and beverages.

Been quite a few years since we visited the zoo. Decided to check out the red pandas. A bit annoyed that you have to pay for parking in addition to the admission. Would consider buying the annual family pass if visiting more than once.Great place to bring the whole family out, especially with younger children. Good way to be outdoor and get some exercise for the whole family. It also has several picnic areas.Able to see most of the animals. Sometimes they tend to be inside or hide at some corner at the back. Just have to look for them. Most of the old favorites are still there. The red pandas are definitely the star attraction. Hopefully the zoo can sustain itself financially and enhance its conservation effort.

I went with the Abby House Young Adults. It was much better than I anticipated. I saw animals I didn't think I'd ever see in my life: a Himalayan snow leopard, two red pandas, and a Siberian tiger. I also loved the wolves and the capybara 🥰🤩❤️

We visited in the late afternoon and it was getting chilly so lots of animals were inside or hidden away sleeping. But still got to see lots of animals and many were still active and got to see them up super close! We went though fairly quickly and it took us about 1.5 hours, but could easily spend much more time there. Definitely in my top 3 zoos ever visited and will be coming again if/when we're back in the area!

I spent 5 hours with my family there. Good food and reasonably priced, lots of wild animals to see, train ride, dinosaur exhibit, motorized cart, playground for kids. Great place to visit with family. A more natural feel than say San Diego zoo.
F K — Google review
So glad to have discovered this place, we went on a rainy day so light crowds but it’s so massive I wouldn’t worry which day you go. We walked over 5km, it’s a very nice setting, stroller, bike and scooter friendly. We spent 2.5 hours there at a steady pace. You can rent quad bikes for $25 hour but we saved the money and got a bit of exercise. They have lots to see from endangered snow leopards, young grizzly bears to pink flamingos. It’s well kept and the enclosures seem up to best practice for animal mental and physical health. There is a bit of a mud issue in some enclosures but I assume that is partly seasonal. They also have a surprisingly impressive dinosaur exhibit, I thought they would be static but they are all animated! It’s a must do if you have kids but also just a great option for a nature walk and picnic. There’s lots of parking too.
Marcus X — Google review
Not a very big zoo but the animals have a lot of space to roam around which means you might need to bring binoculars to see some of them clearly from behind the fence. Note that parking is extra, which I don’t understand since there is already an admission fee and the land for the zoo is in the middle of nowhere.Be prepared for lots of walking, but you can rent an electric golf cart kind of vehicle for an extra fee to get you around the park. If you are looking for North American animals like bears, bison, and moose, you’ll definitely be able to find them here. Some exhibits are better than others, such as the giraffe exhibit which brings you almost up to eye level with the giraffe chewing on the branches in front of you. There is even a dinosaur exhibit with animatronic dinosaurs if your kids are into that. Be aware that it is not a feeding or petting zoo so you’ll only be able to look at the animals from afar. There is a playground for kids and a small gift shop to purchase souvenirs at the entrance of the park. Lots of seating throughout the park and you can bring in food to eat. BCAA members save 10%.

I took my Dad here for his birthday on a quieter day. As soon as the staff found out about the birthday boy, they went out of their way make his day special. The staff are clearly passionate about their jobs, the zoo guests, and, importantly, zoo residents. All aboard! 🚂

Love love love coming to the zoo with our baby! The animal spotlights are great, especially the hippo 🦛! Place is clean an walkable. Can go through the whole place in 3 hours by walk, we took the annual pass and plan to keep visiting and do smaller tours.

Brought back childhood memories from when I was a kid! It's so cool to be so close to all of the animals, other zoos I've been to, you almost need binoculars to see anything in detail. Highly recommend for families or just solo! Definitely going again.
Brian S — Google review
The zoo entry ticket is overly priced. You have nothing much to see, and most of them will be inside the box sleeping. the high entrance fee of $36 for adults plus additional costs for parking, the zoo lacked a variety of animals and was not well-maintained. Many of the animals appeared depressed, and overall, there was nothing remarkable to see. Considering the hefty price tag and lackluster offerings, I would not recommend visiting. no proper shelter for animals. 😢
Jasmine J — Google review
It was a great experience. The kids loved to see all of the animals. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price just seems ridiculous to me. It's not just the entry, there's an additional $8 to park.
Jax M — Google review
We were hesitant to visit because everybody told us like the animals are too far so can't see them. But finally, we decided to find out and turned out totally opposite from what everyone said. We can see all clearly, the staffs were so nice and helpful. Clean environment. We all had so much fun! So we're the member and visited twice already and will be the place for us to go for picnic and have fun when sunny day.

Was a great time, even though it rained a bit. A little high on the pricing I thought for children. Usually 3 or 4 and under are free most places, not here. Other than that , a great experience. Lots of animals easy to see, even for the little ones. Good food choices and covered area for eating. Lost of areas to sit and eat or just rest. Playground for the little ones and rentable bicycles and little golf cart like cars. Tons of parking. Easy to find.

Wonderful experience and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. would be the perfect timing during summer. It could be covered within 3 hours - if no kids.Motor Cart and manual cart could be taken for rent ( $ 25 per hour) at an additional charge. So that walking will be reduced and time effective.Ample parking is available and lovely seeing baby racoon, camel, cheetah, reindeer, dotted deers, hippopotamus, peacock, bears, lions, ostrich and sheep.

Bought our two young daughters here today. It was a bit pricey but worth it. I was impressed with how much space the animals had and with how much the staff showed care towards the animals. The only things I didn’t like were the extremely expensive ice creams. Also, maybe birds shouldn’t be caged (bald eagle).

Great experience. For 2 adults + a car you are paying around 84$. Yes they charge you 8$ to park your car there which was only downside for me.Other than that you can expect to spend 2-3 hours there if you walk around the entire zoo! Loved the animals, most were napping.

Great experience! A couple of animals were napping but we saw the majority of them and all were so close to the fence, which we enjoyed a lot!Parking was $8 which was unexpected as it’s a dedicated lot for the zoo.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff! Great variety of animals…we especially enjoyed the “wallaby walk”…The big cats are so majestic and healthy looking, even in the hot weather. Bring water bottles and good walking shoes to maximize your day😊Shaded areas with picnic tables right by the playground were much appreciated as well.

Great place to come, if you have a babyI love how close we can get to see the animals. I had a beautiful time with my baby, and she absolutely loved it. All the animals are well taken care of, and there are many areas where you can sit and take a break.
Mel. K — Google review
It's more a animal rescue and conservation awareness centre than a traditional zoo per se. There's only a limited selection of animals, but the zoo workers do a lot to educate and entertain children about animal biology, habitat and level of endangeredness. In short, it's a fun and educational place for a family day out.

The Whale Museum, located in Friday Harbor, is a must-visit destination for those interested in learning about whales and the Salish Sea ecosystem. The museum features a variety of exhibits showcasing artwork, artifacts, and educational programs focused on different kinds of whales that inhabit the area. One of its highlights is the skeleton of a young orca named Sooke (L-112), offering insight into the process of preparing whale skeletons for display.
Very cool museum! Our 3 y.o. daughter especially loved the whale bones. We all enjoyed how interactive the place was, and the variety of uses of different media. Also, we had an issue with our credit card getting charged twice on accident, and Tracy at the front desk was AWESOME. Very customer focused, attentive, and thorough. Fixed everything in a heartbeat. I was grateful to her!

We are glad we went to the museum as it helped us learn about whales and remind us of all the things we are doing to our planet to harm this precious species. The museum is a bit dated. We watched two of the movies and they were pretty old. I still enjoyed it

Very educational, and inspiring. I could see a whale brain as an exhibit. That was just wow. Definitely recommend going to this place while at San Juan!
Tanya G — Google review
Informative museum focused on conservation and respectful, careful study of and interaction with marine wildlife (especially whales). The exhibits are interesting, and there's lots to read about whales on the self-guided tour.Experience standing inside the ribcage of an orca, seeing a whale brain vs. a human brain, listening to whale calls, and other interesting and interactive displays. There's also a nice little gift shop and videos about whales. Well worth a visit.

Very nice little museum. Hard to manage with a stroller, as you have you have to walk up a serious set of stairs. Honorable, scientific work.
Sherry O — Google review
Really well done exhibits with lots of information about the orcas and other whales, and very moving stories of some of the individual Southern Resident Killer Whales. Employees were kind and knowledgeable, and I attended a fantastic free talk at the museum by Brad Hanson about the status and health of the Southern Resident Killer Whale pods. If you’re planning a trip to San Juan Island the Whale Museum is whale worth a visit.

I have been obsessed with whales since I was about 7 years old, but only recently moved to the PNW where we share their waters. This museum may be small, but it is an exquisite collection, and presented very well. It is self-guided, but if you take the time to engage with the exhibits, it is time well spent.I especially loved the personal stories of all the orcas, particularly the ones with skeletons on display. It really contextualized the struggle for conservation and awareness. These incredible creatures were treated as disposable for so long; it's vital to share what we have learned about them so far.My husband and I absolutely loved the museum, and will return the next time we're in Friday Harbor.
Joi W — Google review
There are movies to watch, and a lot of very informative posts to read. All ages would be fascinated by the bones, photos, and hearing the Whales communicating. One could spend a lot of time in the museum. There are many really great books, postcards, etc. to buy in the store. This two-story building houses wonderful artifacts and first-person stories to listen to. Important research is told and written about in the museum. I will return to study more at this wonderful museum.

GOOD AT EDUCATION BUT MUSEUM NEEDS AN UPGRADEThe people here are passionate about educating humans on these wonderful creatures and what can be done to protect them. However, the museum itself looks like it's from 1992 with very little interactivity and, in this day and age, that's expected. I hope they receive funding to update, as this is the perfect spot to learn about whales and then go out and see them in their natural habitat. On the plus side, the gift shop was good with a nice range of products.
Linda B — Google review
Very cool but also sad. There were great displays on the pods that travel the area. We even saw some of the whales featured on our whale watching trip.
Jared M — Google review
I wasn't necessarily interested, but went based on numerous recommendations, and I was glad I did. The displays are extremely educational and include a lot of interesting information. In my opinion, the museum appears to be sadly underfunded, but they have done a remarkable job with what they have. I learned a lot that I found myself recalling later on a whale watching tour and a kayak tour.

Really nice museum! Worth the time if you want to learn a lot! It’s not fancy or crowded … very consistent with the vibe of the islands.

Cool place worth checking out, lots of souvenirs to be had, lots of info to learn, and clean bathrooms. They even had a stair lift to take disabled up/down stairs as majority of exhibit is upstairs.

This place is amazing! Reading all the stories about the pods and the Southern Resident Orcas brought tears to my eyes. 🥹 Especially the pitiful ones separated away from their beloved family.I loved the Native American story about Orcas. It is a great place to educate kids early. And me being a 33 year old adult, loved it throughly too! If you’re in Friday Harbor, do not miss out on this museum!

It features Alouette Lake, where visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The park also boasts extensive hiking trails suitable for all skill levels and three vehicle accessible campgrounds. With its proximity to Maple Ridge, the park is a popular destination for locals looking to spend the day outdoors.
This is a must see when visiting BC! The lake is breathtaking and looks like it belongs in a painting! This is our favourite morning stroll spot, we grab some Starbucks then spend the morning enjoying what Golden Ears has to offer. Really worth seeing. You will need a reservation to visit before 4 pm but spots free up and are easy to book using the online site.

Great place for a quick hike and great trails too! It is very beautiful place, quite occupied, family friendly and fun trails to the creek. It will take all about 3 hours to explore the trail to the creek and back, especially if you stopped here and there to admire views and side locations to sit. But be careful cause your phone signal will be off if you are at the north beach or go up the trail. You can find camping sites, bathrooms are well distributed,

Recently one of my top places to go camping or hiking. Most of the time is packed, and specially during weekends so you have to plan quite in advance, but once you make it you will be grateful, because it’s stunning out there!!

BC at its finest, this is an amazing park. It’s got it all. From a pristine lake to waterfalls and hiking trails for all. I can’t say enough about this great park and definitely recommend coming here if you can. Lots has been written about this park, so skip the words and come to this place and experience nature at its finest.

Golden Ears Park is a very scenic provincial park located just under an hour away from the Vancouver lower mainland. There are camp sites and day use areas to enjoy the many activities possible here in the park.Park access passes:https://bcparks.ca/reservations/day-use-passes/Visit the BC parks website to access a free pass for day use of Golden Ears Park.As of June 2024: Entry options are from 7am with departure at 1pm or entry at 1pm. Passes are not required for entry after 4pm. There is a check point for the passes just before the turn off to the Beach access. The lake, the canopy of majestic trees and the multiple hiking trails offer a great escape into nature. The lower falls trail had a relatively flat and wide gravel pathway. Good for all age groups. We visited on a rain day so the trails were less crowded.Attire on a rainy day:There are some puddles along the Lower falls trail way so bring appropriate foot wear and a waterproof jacket.Washroom facilities:-flushing toilet and sinks with running water available at the Beach day use area. -Outhouse options at the Gold creek parking lot.

Needs a park pass to attend. Recommend going early as this place gets packed in the afternoon.Beautiful place with mountains and wide lake. Great for boating and picnicking! We saw lots of family gatherings. There is a boat launch on the west.
Michelle H — Google review
Beautiful provincial park however it is extremely busy. During camping seasons you must buy a camping spot within the literal second the tickets go online or you are screwed. Not to mention you need day passes for certain days during the summer and winter which I find ridiculous. It is also an extremely busy park in general and you will have a hard time finding a nice secluded spot with no people unless you really hike. That being said this park is truly beautiful with amazing waterfalls and lakes with gorgeous surrounding by mountains and forests.

One of my favourite Provincial Parks in BC. A wide range of walks and hikes, individual and group campsites, lake access, both swimming and boating, plus, close to the city while feeling like it’s a world away.A beautiful place!!!

We camped at the Gold Creek campground the week after the long weekend. The park rangers are incredibly helpful, and they maintain the park beautifully. While we camped, I saw them clean the bathrooms 2-3 times a day, checking campsites to be sure there were no squatters, and enforcing the day pass rule so the park wasn’t over crowded. Overall it was a wonderful stay and beautiful weather.

Went during the week and no one checked for our ticket. Lake is beautiful but if you keep going north the river is much more scenic and cold. Great to picnic and float the river.

My partner and I recently visited Golden Ears Nature Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. We went on a short trail and were absolutely amazed by the stunning flora of British Columbia. The trees on the West Coast are incredibly large and majestic, and the beautiful moss added a magical touch to the surroundings. The highlight of our hike was the breathtaking view of the lake, nestled perfectly between the mountains. It was a serene and picturesque sight that left us in awe. Golden Ears Nature Park is a true gem, offering a peaceful escape into nature with its lush greenery and stunning landscapes. If you're looking for a place to connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful scenery British Columbia has to offer, Golden Ears Nature Park is a great visit. We can't wait to return and explore more of its trails!

Golden Ears Park is a place I can always be amazed! The mountain view, lake side picnics, water sports and hikes make Golden Ears park a fantastic destination for families, loungers, and adventurers!I personally have been boating on Alouette Lake in Golden Ears and have hiked the various trails including the one that takes you right to the peak! My friend and I backpacked to the top in Early October and the weather was great for camping! There are limited pads on top but a few flat spots are around where you can also set up a tent. There is also a fresh water source that you can drink from which was definitely needed as we ran outta water on the day we got up.I highly recommend visiting this park!

Our experience of Aloutte Lake was overwhelming. The lake was so Beautiful and the whole area was serene. Just a heads up for those travelling by bus or taking a cab- there’s no bus servixe or cab service while going back unless you have hired a cab for full day. There’s no mobile network as well. Overall, a beautiful place!

You should reserve the pass at exactly 7:00 am the day it becomes available. The place is really beautiful. We went to Golden Creek Lower Falls, as well. The water is so cold. It is a bit warmer to swim in the Alouette Lake instead of in the lower falls.

Fantastic way to transport car $80 over from Vancouver to Victoria. On time, nice big clean boat, and with a cafeteria on board. Amazing views throughout the ship of the journey. Attraction in itself. Buy tickets in advance, they do fill up, especially when going with a car.

It’s always a good idea to reserve the tickets online at least a few weeks early in the busiest time like summer weekend and long weekends. The ferry is mostly clean at the beginning of the journey but get a bit messy at the end.The view is amazing whenever you travel from and to. Kids love to take ferries and it was such a great experience. The lineup to order fast food on the ferry can be very long if you come late.

We didn’t have a reservation as we were coming straight from the airport. We decided to just drive-in and luckily, we were early enough for the next sailing, we got a spot! It was $15 less than if I had made a reservation online for the same time. The ferry was clean, it had enough seats for everybody on board and it left on-time. We had fun sight-seeing too. The ride was not boring at all.

I was in Vancouver last week and decided to take the ferry to Victoria Island. We purchased ticket ahead of time and arrived with our car. It was a very smooth and fast process, you check in at the toll station and you show your boarding pass. They will assign you a lane and you go to the lane and wait for the boarding process. Surprisingly the process was very fast and efficient. They loaded over 200 cars and truck under 10-15 min. Once inside you can turn off your car and go up in the deck. They have nice sitting area, work stations, coffee shop and you can go outside and enjoy the beautiful view. It was a pleasant experience.

This was the best ferry experience I've had! Such a nice ferry, very clean, comfortable and easy to navigate. We got on via standby on the earliest ferry on a Thursday but had a reservation for the next time slot.

We got there just less than an hour from the next ferry to leave for Victoria. We paid at the entrance booth to the ferry terminal. The price for the car and two people was very reasonable. No need to book ahead. There was no extra charge for making the reservation. We got the line to go to and we drove there and placed our car next in line. It seems people get out of their cars and go shopping and eating at the enclosed mall. The building was great! Wonderful quality shops and many nice priced places to eat. Then, off to the car and enjoyed our hour and 30 minute trip. The ferry was pleasant and the view was very nice, Great experience!

Just had my first experience with the ferry system and it was terrible (though if I could review the supervisor who resolved my issues separately I would give her 5 stars)I booked my round trip tickets to Victoria a week in advance so I would be guaranteed a spot at my designated time of 5pm. I made sure to come early and actually arrived at 3:23pm where I showed the toll attendant my booking bar code. He said you’re early so I asked if we could catch the 4pm instead thinking this might free up room for the busier time later in the day. He said he would check, and then proceeded to print out our ticket saying we were on the earlier ferry.Well guess what, we were not…he put us in standby on a long weekend. The 4pm came and went so I went back tot the toll and he said he didn’t know what happened, apologized, and printed me a new ticket for 5pm. So I thought oh well, and proceeded to wait…guess what, that ferry came and went too without calling my lane. I went back again to find out he put me in another standby lane (adding insult to this, my original standby lane made the ferry) and now there were 3 of us with similar stories. He began voiding and printing a third ticket when I said please ensure this new lane would be on the next departure. He called and the control booth person said “no”. I told him this wasn’t acceptable and I needed to speak with the supervisor. After about 30 minutes she resolved this and had me on the 7pm departure…the 3 others who also use the same attendant hopefully also got resolution. It is crazy this attendant had no clue what was going on and each time thought he was providing me a guaranteed departure while actually putting me (and others) in standby….i wonder how many people just accepted their fair and never spoke up

Wow , I wish this was a private company. The incompetence is astounding. Web site says available space for 315 is 17% .I bring a trailer, they measure me They say 35ft . You pay for thirty five feet. Drive down lane 04. Stop. Guy walked up with attitude. What are you doing. I respond, pretty sure I’m going to the mainland. ( only place Duke ferry goes) guy says no!(With more of an attitude ) What are you doing in this lane, I say, waiting to catch a ferry. He says no! Who told you to go in this lane. I said well obviously the person in the booth that sold me the ticket, also it says so on the ticket. He must of been new because they must have forgotten to tell him how things work . He reaches his hand out and just says ticket. I give him the ticket. He turns and walks away with the mic pressed to his mouth. Turn back hands me back the ticket and says stay here. They fill 5 lanes then mine. I missed that ferry that I was supposed to be on . When I asked mister grumpy pants why I missed the ferry, he says the next two are also filled so you won’t be catch those either. I drove away. That was yesterday. When I calm down I’ll write about today. Duke point and tswassen

Loading your vehicle onto the ferry is quick and easy. The trip across to Vancouver Island takes about 90 minutes but it doesn't feel that long because you're genuinely enjoying the views from the deck of the ferry. If the wind is too much for you, you can always go inside to one of the many viewing areas, or grab a coffee or something to eat as well.

Awesome totem poles that are free to view and take pictures. They have a boundary, so no one is permitted to go directly in contact with these statues. As a result, they're well kept and maintained here. There is a parking lot and a gift shop nearby. Lots of warning signs around the area about wild animals. Wide and clear walkways and paths to go on.It wasn't busy at all when we visited on a weekend afternoon.I recommend coming to see the Brockton Point Totem pole amongst other landmarks at Stanley park.
